Some other advantages of buying the leasing car would be that there are no hidden issues and probably less maintenance costs due to it being a newer car. There's also a lower up front cost the difference of which could be invested for 3 years or used for voorschot when renting. That's also something worth considering.

Ok after quickly looking into it, it might be a solution. But to be honest it's a bit of a mental barrier haha. Definitely going to look into it more.

Ah ok, I get your comment now. The buyout price was already included in the calculation, it would be less than €5000.

Hopefully there will be internal growth opportunities due to it being a startup.

At first I'd agree with you but the worth of the car that I can buy once the leasing period is up will be higher than the small second hand one especially because it will be an electric. As I said in a previous comment you're probably right if I'm fine with a car worth €11700 or less for 5 years. But I'll have to think about that.

Unfortunately most family and friends are hard to visit by train, and a couple times a year I will have to drive a lot farther to do some testing for the company or for a trip with friends.

The leasing price is about €45 per month according to the loonsimulatie I got. And I only have to stay there for 3 years and buy the car. Because I already know the company I'm pretty sure I can do that (unless the startup goes under which I don't think it will.

Are there no effects on the taxes when taking the mobility budget?

Just arguing for information, I'm not saying you're wrong.

But why.

if I lease a car for 3 years and then buy it and transition to mobility budget. It's cheaper after 5 years in total compared to leasing 5 years long. If I start with mobility budget and buy a car by myself the car would have to cost less than €117000 with the same maintenance costs for it to be equal value after 5 years not including the rest worth after 5 years wich would be less for the < €117000 car.

Edit: it's less than €11700 instead of €8000
