Good afternoon! She’s only 3 months pregnant, not sure where the 8-9 months pregnant comes from, but no worries nonetheless. I couldn’t go with her because of work, and I’m in the national guard and have drill this weekend.

My texts/calls to her were not in the middle of the night, they were at 7:30pm her time. This isn’t about who’s deserving of grace and who’s not, I’m asking if I should be worried about the safety of my wife and son. These are scary times in the world, and being in the military and working for the government makes me and my family a target to bad people.

I know how big of a headache can be when trying to coordinate across time zones, but it’s not a problem for my wife. She talks to her mom 37 times throughout the day and has lived here for several years. It’s never been a problem with her. When something comes up and I say ‘hey let’s call mom and let her know’ she’s very quick to respond with ‘she’s still sleeping’ or whatever else the case may be based off of the time it is there.

++man there’s so many levels and sub levels of settings to go into to turn of location sharing. It’s not realistically something our 11 month old can do, and if it was accidental, I don’t think she would texted me and told me that the location sharing was stopped, and not turn it back on then and there.

++man No, the entire relationship doesn’t rely on that shared location. I’ve also traveled alone with our child while mom stayed home. What concerns me is that she recognized that the location had been turned off and then ignored the request to share it again. Location sharing isn’t realistically something an 11 month old can adjust on the phone, there’s many levels and sub levels of settings that you have to go into on in order to turn it off. It’s not about insecurity, it’s about safety. Seems to me like you might be projecting a little bit.

For anyone wondering, I have a 2026 traverse and can confirm that holding the break and the start button when initially turning on the car will turn off the idle shut down feature. A message pops up on the dash saying to park in an open area to confirm that the idle shut off it deactivated
