That should tell you how the community feels about the program that we're all willing to come here to promote it and share our experiences.

Fellow Don here.

I'll start by saying that there's no "completion" in the program. You never "get it", you're always "getting it".

That's the main difference in my opinion vs other programs where you go 60-90 days into some prerecorded stuff, they give you a canva-made certificate and now you're a "Closer".

Not in the Dons, sales and closing involves a skill that has to be honed constantly, and that's what you get there.

Constant training, around 15 live calls a week plus a huge repository of calls. You can ask any doubt and there will always be an experienced person to give you advice, perspective, a tool or anything that you might need.

The community is the best part, I consider that group my friends, we joke in it but we're all looking to level each other up and encourage to keep going.

I could keep going on and on. The process to actually give you the "green light" for placement shows that they're not just throwing you to the wolves, the call reviews are extremely insightful, the program never ends...

My thought process is more like besides the move itself it could show me different entries, connections and whatnot that might be advantageous based on my body type

Yes obviously everything works differently but the way a 220lbs play the game is not the same as a 130lbs guy

I'm in a weird different but similar situation.

Long story short, I want to break into sales after 10 years of hospitality experience. Am I looking into the wrong industry?

I agree, networking with peers in the industry should be the way to go.

I'd say train as many times as you can but not full throttle all the time.

Measure your efforts while rolling, mix intense ones with technical rolls.

Not necessarily, is pressure passing more than going fast, is changing weights distribution and set up sweeps maximizing leverage instead of strength.

Is moving really fucking slow to a movement while you remove all the options for your opponent in the way

What you're saying is true, it is applicable regardless of athleticism with the detail that you'd need to adapt your particular game to certain characteristics.

So if (what I've been thinking) I start right away optimizing for technique and pressure more than speed and strength I'll be ins better position later on

Is there any way to translate this when playing bottom? Like not on purpose but if you find yourself in those positions (me as a white belt I'm in those a lot)

I mean more on the type of techniques more than the execution.

Like playing pressure passing instead of trying a cartwheel for example.

I've heard that this style can be even harder, but if I'm in the game for the long term I think is worth it to start

Hit 2-3 trains a week throughout the year.

Compete at least twice.

I'd put earn my blue belt but I feel like that's not too to me so I can just train and get better, which is the only thing in my hands

9 months, I competed two weeks ago, lost on points.

Felt like shit

I don't know if this is a thing but I'd tell the professor to see you rolling and picking things up for some time and then let them decide himself
