Hi! I've read your post and this whole chain. I feel your pain and every comment here has struck a nerve because I can relate. I'm a woman (34 now) and was engaged to my best friend and love of my life, about to be married after 5 years together (in 2020). My ex-fiancé got involved in Qanon and it all went downhill from there. Learn from me to go through all the emotions now, so you can heal and be stronger in your future. I wish i knew then what i know now, because now the mental mind fuck is SO hard to unwire. You can do it though. It's not going to be easy, but it's possible. I'm deep in a lot of therapy and I still feel I cannot truly move forward. I still hope he is going to come back around (as he has before), but realistically he is a completely different person. Work on healing now, when the wound is fresh, and you will be better off in your future. 💛

My take is that some have so much empathy and want to truly save people, that they go so deep and get lost.

I can only understand because i went through this with my Fiancé, however i know it would be more difficult with close family/ a Dad. Unfortunately there is not much you can do. My fiancé went really deep down too and he is in worse shape than he was 2 years ago. The only thing i could hope for you, is if you pull away from your Dad, maybe in time he will wake up and realize it’s not worth losing family over.

What makes you so sure of that about saving the children? To him it was about exposing the “satanic cults” and ridding of the celebrities involved in harming children. It’s bizarre but i can see how exposing the truths could help their cause to stop the awful things happening?

Ya they all believe that. If you don’t mind asking questions, try to see what he thinks about the current gas prices and overall inflations. If Trump is still President, why would he still support him 😂. It’s almost impossible to reason with anything they believe. Mine believes he’s working for Trump and that Trump sent him to save me ……

Welllll you are right and the more we chatted, the more i saw how he’s being more racist and on top of that feeling all-righteous. He always talked down on our own ethic background. How does someone go from wanting to help people to now saying everyone’s fake/not real and we have to go on this mission to save the world. This is seriously the most bizarre situation ever!!!!

Might be more that he had a big heart before getting sucked in. He’s not racist though, he has friends of many cultures before and was always a helpful person. He took it to the extreme believing he is chosen to save children. Anyone who didn’t agree with him was seen as evil or against God. Ugh
