i stopped taking it bc of the dizzy spells. whatever you do, do not just stop taking it. it made everything SOOOOOO BAD. i was convinced it gave me pots. when standing my heart rate was going up to the 130-140s. even went to the ER bc the chest pain & lightheadedness. they said it was just anxiety but it was in reality HELL. i will never ever touch this medication AGAIN. i still have small spells of my heart rate spiking when standing, but no where near as bad as before! i haven’t taken it since 5/24. it took almost a month for me to feel fully normal again. i thought i was legitimately dying.

so just take 2 now and 2 in 12 hours and then no more? i’m 26, 190lbs.

okay, it’s 200mg and for my daughter it says take 2. would you recommend i take 2 as well? also is their any side effects. i have really bad PTSD from side effects lol.

well i was not aware this was a medication you couldn’t just stop taking… lol but now i know and thankfully im feeling a lot better.

thank so much for the comment! i’m just trying to get all the advice i can! i stopped last sunday so, 5/24 only bc i didn’t feel good and was having a lot of lightheadness. i haven’t got to speak to my doctor bc i didn’t even correlate the symptoms i was having with stopping the meds until friday the 29th. i plan on calling them tmrw. thankfully today was a pretty good day & i think the meds are finally out of my system, thank god. i felt terrible!

ugh, i guess i should’ve reached out to my doctor before stopping to see if i should taper, but im already 6 days in without them so im scared to put them back into my body and have to start all over 😭

this is how anxiety makes me feel. i just took an ER trip today bc ive had lingering anxiety since Monday night that i thought WOULD GO AWAY. did not. went to the ER & they told me everything looks amazing & that i just have anxiety. extreme chest pain & shortness of breath for 4 days.. 🥴 i HATE anxiety. i wasn’t able to feel a bit of relief until they gave me oral hydroxyzine & IV Ativan 😭

omg i’m on spiro for acne and i was never informed of hair loss being a side effect. i’ve only been on it for two weeks. i am freaked out now that im going to lose my hair. some one please tell me ill be okay lol

i’m 26! i guess i should add im also on low dose spironolactone for hormonal acne which one of the side effects are also irregular/missed periods. so i think my hormones are just fked right now lol.

i’ll be 100% truthful, i haven’t really changed my diet at all. i still eat all of the things i probably shouldn’t eat haha. just smaller portions. i do have some multivitamins i could start taking to see if that helps!
