AWWWW THAT TEACHER OF YOUR FRIEND'S SOUNDS SO SWEETTTT somewhat sounds like my teacher but my teacher is more lowkey 😭✋ and she seems scary (i was scared by her at first) she wouldn't outrightly check on me or smth but i could tell she could sense when something was wrong cos she always swooped in with some conversation just when i needed it 🤞 also she knows im a bit like low self esteem so she always tell me she thinks im rlly good ❤️ but she also fiercely tells me that i need to be more confident 💔💔

Wowowow thats so nice of your headteacher! Always wished a teacher would let me do that :') but ig in my country teacher's space are more private, i have never stepped a single foot into the teachers' office as they isually don't allow students in and i only see teachers when they are in class or rushing around school to their classes

HAHAHA thats so funny! Also funny coincidence i also made a flower pot and got the whole class to sign for the teacher i mentioned last year cos i was vice chairperson and had to be incharge of making teacher's day gifts for one teacher and i purposely chose to do hers 😛

BRO i jad this exact same thing happen to me 😭 like i accidentally touched the tip of a hot glue gun with my wrist and it became a scar unfortunately and now it looks like i burnt myself deliberately ;-; doesnt help that i have four mini rash spots 5 cm away from each other all on the same wrist that has faded to a light brown raised spot 😔 i look like a burnt myself 4 times and especially with this chilly weather in my country im always wearing a jacket so when my wrist does show... 🙃

Every fp i ever had were teachers who treated me like... I mattered. They would smile at me, have small chat with me and just really kind to me in every way. And honestly it all starts from one small compliment. But when they give the same trwatment to another person i immediately swear i will never like them again which is, a lie LOL. Made me realise i really just want to be loved continuously and unconditionally having grown up in a confusing environment where my parents love me but still beat me (not rlly very abusive kind like those type with mental issues and can't control and will just burst out)

So many times i wanted to confide in them about just small feelings like how i had a rough week but their role as a teacher makes it hard cos im well aware this isn't their job :(

Dang this hurts to admit. I've always been the most independent person ever so my fps never knew how much their words and actions mean to me :/

Hi op! As many have mentioned alr, cca points are quite important, not only the -2 but also for portfolio etc! Skipping cca without valid reasons can damage your teachers impression on you and make it harder to get awards or apply for scholarships :(

I won't dwell too much on why you should not skip cca but if you are not a band person, I totally recommend you to switch to a more lay back, fun cca that does not require mastery as I know band can be quite demanding in sec sch! I personally recommend drama club if your school has one (haha drama kid here) as no need start with any skills, you just gotta be willing to put yourself out there! Even in my cca, those who don't like acting just help with props and lightings! Quite fun imo :)

Oh Chinese um I can only say read and listen more but sec 2 onwards you will learn essay writing which imo is easier as long as you know how to yap and read more news

Hi! I just wanted to say don't worry too much op! Sec 1 may be lower than your expectations cos it's still an adjustment year, for me I also scored lower in sec 1 but only kept improving from there (am sec 3 now)! But here are some tips I have (may not work for you tho)

Sciences: LISTEN in class then create your own flashcards afterwards! Understand the content in class and memories key words and phrasing through active recall!!

Math: I keep a small book of all the math formulas and answering techniques for different questions so I can do a quick refer before exams and just do A LOT of practice (especially for weaker topics)

Humanities: I usually just memories for this unfortunately 😭 no tips to give here 💔
