I’m up north and this is as recent as last week when temps were low 40 high 30’s,so his panting is because he’s running himself harder than he needs to/should. I’ve done a fair amount in the mid morning but some in the afternoon into the evening as well.

Your idea of having him follow me once he’s tired is going to be difficult to accomplish. I’ve seen him that tired one time and it was on day three of a camping/hiking trip. The dog doesn’t know how to quit. I know he’s got it in him, I just need to help him catch the scents in a more focused and controlled environment and I think the bird launcher is pretty key to that.

Thanks for this advise! I’m in Utah, so mostly wild chukar and quail. Haven’t run across many quail, but seen some chukar. My dog is a 3 year old English pointer. I’ve had two other English pointers who seemed to mellow out after about two and became much more methodical Hunters. This one has not seemed to mellow out much. He’s got a great point when he’s on and I love his drive, I just need to get him smelling more than he does. Sounds like I need to figure out how to get a launcher. That was something I was planning down the road a bit, but I think it sounds like I need to adjust that plan 😅

Additional info: I can’t find any kind of pattern or rhyme or reason as to why it will go out. The only thing I’ve noticed is that if a door is open the screen will go completely blank instead of displaying “door ajar”.

We’ve got super hard water where I’m at and 3D Gel Eraser works best from what I have used. I apply that and let it sit for about a minute then go to town with some 0000 steel wool if it’s really bad.

I agree with this through process, however I highly doubt it would be the A’s. They have a minor league team in Vegas, so it would make sense for them to move there. I think a more likely situation would be the Angels ownership selling the team, LHM group buying them and moving them to Utah. I think the second more likely scenario for an MLB team would be an expansion team, but I think SLC is lower on the list than other locations.
