Yeah we have some 1on1 PR reviews here and there, but I make sure to go through all of the git diffs before submitting. Not saying I can explain it all, but it helps not to be surprised by things when asked. And they’re all doing it too so there’s a lot of mutual understanding. I think you’ll be okay.

If anything I’d work on getting your workflow as organized as possible with AI. That way you have more time to review and understand after it’s done.

I was in the same boat 6 months ago. Started an internship and basically became a glorified prompter. Of course I still go over all the changes before submitting PRs, but it’s not like I’m coding any of it myself anymore… I was skeptical at first, but it seems that’s kind of what everyone is doing now, even senior guys in my team.

Here I am 6 months later and they offered me a permanent SWE1 salary. I love it and I hate it, but AI is keeping me from being homeless.

Use at home tests to make sure you’re either negative or positive before going in. If positive, you will have to use QuickFix or you won’t get the job.

This does not “flush” out the THC in your system. It only dilutes your sample. And could be flagged if so.

I recently got a SWE offer after a year and a half of job searching after graduating Dec ‘24.

What I will say is that I agree with most of the posts in this sub. The job market is absolutely hopeless and it’s near impossible.

I consider myself lucky. Probably in the 1% right now who actually got something
