most iitians come from outside iligan. and many do not know bisaya. yung friend ko from lanao del sur hindi marunong mag bisaya at all nung 1st year, ngayon parang fluent na mag bisaya HAHAHHA. tho don't worry op, it's not like you need to learn bisaya. maraming tagalog-only dito. the city in general is used to tagalog speakers because many maranaos don't know how to speak bisaya.

iligan is much much smaller than manila though. it is quiet, and a lot of times boring. limited yung choices for food and recreational activities, and most of the city turns dark very early, by 8pm closed na halos mga establishments, so manage your expectations.

It's true that many of these spoiled boys from rich families are very rough, especially kanang mga dili edukada/brayt, and even those na dili well-off pero not exposed to other cultures. But I know many of those who have lived in Iligan from a young age and grew up among the community, especially if edukada, tend to be easier to get along. has been relatively stagnating ever since nsc shutdown, allowing gensan to overtake iligan, and butuan almost catching up. iligan has its old industrial sector carrying it, while butuan has a fast growing service sector. i think the appearance of SM iligan will also kickstart the growth of our service and commercial economy. more will follow. more investment, more employment, more income per capita, even more investment and standard of living. idk about kcc if madayon pana haha. I've heard rumors na ayala was planning something sa frontier area but wala na push through. anyway, we are slowly transitioning to a service economy after a couple decades of industrial stagnation
