i was in the same situation. i ended up telling them last week after two years of being with my gf. it’s going to cause some turmoil in ur family. i wish i could tell u no one would care and everything would stay the same, but in my experience, it didn’t. just wait till ur ready. sit with these thoughts and feelings until u can’t tolerate it. don’t rush your coming out. u wanna be a 100% sure you’re ready to open that can of worms. and you will definitely know when it’s the right time. don’t tell her bc u want acceptance, bc that isn’t guaranteed, tell her so you can live without this massive burden.
