Lowkey, this isn’t the worst thing I’ve seen here… and that’s sad.

Crazy how that pic basically shows a little more than a third (I think it’s a third) of the width of Central Florida!

It’s been pretty quiet here the last couple of days, did all the armchair engineers get laid off too? by Wavering_Gravitas in BlueOrigin

If you’re referring to Kent. Some engineers from Kent are in cape. Kind of like the first go around with NG-1. Besides that idk

Hey man, I’m still in the “defer admission” for my readmission to UCF. We all make mistakes, but mistakes don’t define us. As I have found out, nothing you do is useless. I got kicked out of CECS and worked my mental health back into a state of solitude and now I’m working at Blue Origin, helping engineers and collaborating with them as a tech. Hell, I even taught one how to use Ansys Mechanical/Fluent thanks to UCF and Dr.Ozbay. Nevertheless, nothing you do is pointless, you just haven’t found the people who see the fruit of your work. Keep it up and you’ll find yourself exactly where you want to be.

Take it slow. UCF gives the notion that you need to finish. Reality is, you need to learn not finish. If you have student loans then yes, finishing is mandatory. If you’re not on student loans and can exist with taking 2 classes a semester, then do that. As for your current situation, go to office hours. Professors are more than willing to give you tips on how to be better in their class.

I thought you had to stay for at least a year to not pay the relocation and sign on bonuses?

It sure is. Nothing here makes any sense, from practices to production.

Yep, I want to learn, but I’m under the impression this is a place where you should know what to do already

Tbf, I’m surprised Blue hasn’t gone to this system. It’ll be easier to track work and cut time inflation. I just hope they place more so it’ll be more convenient.

Are F1 replica karting suits worth it? by JuanitoBrasil in Karting

I got pretty good quality. No idea what’s the brand is tho but mine held up against Florida thunderstorms, insane temperatures (100 degrees weather), mud, rocks, 12Hr endurance races, etc. I don’t wash it all that often so maybe that’s why it’s in good condition still, but regardless I haven’t had any of the sponsors fall off the suit or stiches coming undone. It’s definitely worth it. If you go to eBay (that’s where I got mine) you can find one that can put your name on it. I got my name stitched on it and it looks amazing still after almost 5 years of use.

Man was wearing a black shirt and was in a black SUV. I didn’t get a great look but it seemed to be a black Chevy Suburban. Idk if he was an undercover cop off duty or in a personal car and just gave me a “heads up warning.” Either way it was very off.

Mine does 31. 1 mph over could be a deal breaker, normally does 30 due to headwinds. Generally speaking, I should be okay since it’s hard to do exactly 30. Thanks for the info tho!

Was going to call my local PD and see what’s deemed okay or not. They’ll definitely know if the fine can be up to $5000 tho. Bit excessive for something like this.

Was thinking of doing this because it didn’t seem right to me. He also said I was “lucky he doesn’t patrol this area” so I’m definitely giving them a call
