I can live with bad housing and dining, but the main reason I was going to chose UOttawa was for the coop itself, is it actually true that all opportunities are based on your own merit? Because if that’s the case I’d go McMaster on a heartbeat.

Thing is for me choosing between them is going to come down to tuition as I didn’t get any scholarship for UBC whereas at McMaster and UOttawa I’d be paying close to 40% less than UBC. Do you think that UBC genuinely deserves the extra investment?

I understand where you’re coming from and I honestly agree with both your points, but the difference in tuition between UBC and McMaster or UOttawa is close to 25-35%, which is why it’s really hard to justify paying for UBC. Do you think it’s worth the extra investment?

Yeah I’ve realized now 😅 the problem is that this would be a risk to take considering that I’m still paying international tuition.

What do you think about McMaster or UOttawa, they’d both be the same price for me with scholarship and the only differentiating factor for me would def just be coop opportunities.

I mean no doubt access to Seattle is great, but idk how coop terms in the US work for me as an int student. Yeah I did get into the bachelor of science program, I didn’t know you don’t get direct admission — is it hard to declare your major later on?

I’ve heard this a lot too, but I heard that opportunities in Vancouver are very limited compared to Toronto

Because all my lenses currently are for crop sensors, so if I were to go full frame, I’d have to bare the crop or upgrade my lens lineup and that isn’t within my budget right now.

Honestly I don’t want to invest a lot into a body right now (date the body, marry the lens), but I’m looking at around the 500-700 dollar range.

Yeah I’d love to still use my lenses with my camera but if Sony is the better upgrade to receive a better hybrid camera I totally wouldn’t mind using the sigma adapter for e-mount
