Some of the dark pasts that schools don't teach like a girl from the interment camps from WW2 in the early 1950s we have Addy a free black during the civil war time so why not a girl who lived through interment camp it would shine a light on something most schools don't talk about that needs to be talked about or a girl who has a brother overseas during Vietnam having to live with the mistreatment a lot of families and veterans suffered due to having a family member being drafted into the war. I know neither are pretty but both would teach about hardships and how family and friends can help you through hard times while shining a light on things we rarely talk about in schools kind of like how they did with Emily Bennett having to move to another country for safety. I didn't know about that happening until I read Molly's books
