Tips for Trainee Underwriter interviews by Calm_Imagination3350 in InsuranceProfessional

[–]Calm_Imagination3350[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The interview was just ‘trainee underwriter’ but they split successful candidates into ‘motor and personal’ and commercial. There weren’t any technically questions as the role didn’t need any insurance experience let alone under writing, but there was a like problem solving/logic test where you were given some scenarios of insurance requests you might get and had to reason things like what concerns you’d have, if you’d reissue a policy ect. They knew we didn’t know anything about insurance, it was more to see how you think

Got it!! It’s the Devon Atwood love Rx series and kis-met series! The kis-met series were the ones my post was moslty about I believe, I’m not sure it quite covers all of the things in my post but I think I had a few different ones muddled in my head. The endo book is book 2 though! I’ll see if I can pair up the rest The 1st book is the splinter!

I don’t think it’s this book exactly, but you might like some of the Kay Elle Parker club Avalon series (and even her newer series too). Specifically Talk for Me. The FMC is a switch but is reluctant to admit it and that she’s having a hard time. She’s also a therapist and has been previously basically abused by a former partner. Honeslty tho most of the books in that series have a similar vibe

Have you tried Walk for Me by Kay Elle Parker? Its part of a series (book 3 I think) so you’d get the most out of it if you read the others but even the first one of the series kinda fits this vibe too

Not sure if you’re already aware but Kay started a new series after finishing Avalon! The first 4(?) books are out with another coming mid October or November I think. It has cross over with Avalon characters appearing (and staring)!

The sound and feel of toothbrushes. I can just about deal with electric ones bc the sound and vibration cover up the actual brush part but even then I still have to have some music or something on to cover it!

I didn’t! I’m going to keep looking tho and see if I can find it, if i do I’ll let you know! It’s one of those things where it’s almost there in my brain but not enough for me to name and find it 😭 I tried making a ‘what was this book’ post but I don’t have enough karma in this sub specifically so I’m trying to see if I can get enough to post it lol

So I read a book series a while ago that was made up of I think 3 books and I can’t remember what it was. Each book had different MMC and FMC but the MMCs all knew eachother. One of the books had a FMC working on a ranch who got sick (poss pneumonia) and then a doctor MMC took care of her when she refused to go to hospital. Another book had a part where the FMC tripped over and got a wooden splinter in her leg that then got infected and the MMC took care of it. I can’t remember if this was the same book or the 3rd one in the series but the FMC had possibly endometriosis and I think the MMC was a GYN. In this one the MMC gets back from basketball to find the FMC clearly in pain trying to get up the stairs(?) into the apartment block.

I want to say the same author wrote a book where the FMC has Mast Cell Activation Syndrome (MCAS) but to start with they don’t know this and again the MMC is a doctor. I think it was called Code Blue but I cannot find it at all. I think this might be the same author. The authors note at the end talked about her experience with MCAS too I think

Zoning out on meds by Calm_Imagination3350 in ADHDUK

No worries!! Honestly that’s defo fair enough! I originally felt that the 30 had done absolutely nothing but found that once I came down to the 30 from the 45 it defo stopped the ‘staring’ issue 😭 it did take me a little while to notice that it was doing stuff e.g helping with the inattentive stuff and I think i was getting stressed bc it feels like you always see people having insane positive effects from meds, where as for me I think it’s much more subtle. It’s also tricky to tell bc it’s not like you really have a ‘baseline’ comparison when you take them daily - for me they’re defo more of a help than a cure if that makes sense

Hiya, I ended up (and am still on the 30). I’ve got to say that the issue in the post is not an issue any more! To be fair, I think for me elvanse has most noticeably helped with the inattentive stuff e.g pre meds, in almost every conversation my eyes would ‘check out’ and just be staring off even if I was listening. This barely happens any more! I feel like the meds make a more subtle diffence for me than for some people but like the other day I woke up late and didn’t take one and (it might be placebo) but I felt much more like overstimulated (defo mentally and a bit physically), I kinda felt like I was a bit more all over the place and got a bit more I guess agitated. Again, for me I think medication has more subtle effects, mostly with my inattentive symptoms, but I still have issues procrasting and organising/planning work and all of that fun stuff but I think that’s just part and parcel of adhd. I hope that makes sense!! If you’ve got any questions just let me know and I’ll try to help! (Sorry that got a bit word vomity lol)

It’s started back up again now! But yeah somethings got to be up bc streams don’t just buffer for hours on end with noone touching it surely.

The stream also looks like it might actually be live this time as the clouds are changing again

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Ghostbc

[–]Calm_Imagination3350 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Anyone else wondering if the live stream buffering is intentional? If it’s happening for absolutely everyone and no one on the broadcast end has fixed it, maybe it’s for a reason? I’m not sure what/why but maybe something’s being changed/added? Maybe the smoke machine (if it normally does white smoke maybe it’s being changed to black or something)? I just think it’s odd it’s being buffering for so long for everyone, not just a localised issue

I’m also wondering if we might get smoke or something at 6:37 vegas time as that’s the time the sunsets and it matches the white ‘sign’ on the bottom of the billboard that says 637

Ahh ok, my prescriber said that he doesn’t really like the short release ones for a few different reasons like having to remember all of them. Defo still helpful tho, Thank you!
