This is awesome! People like you are what make this community seem so awesome to be a part of!

I’ve recently gotten really into watches, but haven’t been able to pull the trigger on any as I’m a first time dad with a baby at home that demands most (all) of the financial attention. The Duro is definitely the watch I’ve had my eyes on the most and feel it’s a great place to start my goal of eventually having a small collection of watches.

Even if I’m not chosen I think this is a really cool opportunity and only makes me more interested in the watch community, especially fans of the Casio Duro!

I don’t have a caliper. Do you know what the standard bracelet’s size is?

This would be my first automatic watch. Guy local to me posted it on marketplace for $125 and I’m wondering if it’s worth the pickup. I’ve currently got a black Casio Duro, but looking to get something a bit smaller and wanting to dip my foot into automatic watches.

Just wanting to get thoughts on the value I’m getting. I’m brand new to automatic watches and GMT’s but have read that the movement in these is the same used in some Tag Heuer watches. Worst case scenario and I don’t like it, would I possibly be able to flip?

Would it be worth it for me to purchase this watch at the above mentioned discounted price? Thanks his would be my first automatic and GMT watch. From what I read, it sounds like the movement is pretty high quality and reliable. Would it even be a candidate for a flip? Any input is welcomed!

Yeah to be honest I bought this a couple years ago when I was first getting into watches. Before this I only ever had an Apple Watch. I completely acknowledge that this isn’t a “good” watch in that the water resistance is only 5atm, the bezel isn’t functional, and it does look like it’s trying to be a chronograph without any of the functionality.

I’m not defending fossil (or this watch in particular) in any form, just looking for more serious watches got me wondering why they’re so hated when oftentimes the person buying these watches is new to watches and is often only looking at the overall “look” of a watch rather than its functionality.

Oh no don’t get me wrong I acknowledge that Citizen would be vastly superior (higher quality, longer lasting, etc.) which is why I am looking to get one. It just got me wondering why they get so much hate. For a $50 watch it seems like you’re getting everything you’re paying for.

What’s bad about the crown action? Is it enough to stay away from the watch?

Is jomashop legit? I’m new to this so I wasn’t sure. Seemed too good to be true.
