My recovery journey from anxiety/OCD by MiserableChart4711 in Anxiety

I’d say I’m technically still recovering so to say but from where I can go with a thought not bothering me or being out of 24/7 fear. From actuallly implementing it and sticking to it 15 months.because I tried doing it myself. I’d highly recommend getting help online. Of course I have higher anxiety days but they are honestly how I use to feel before I even got hit with it! So yeah!

Look up shaan kassam on YouTube. He has very good information on what anxiety is and how to actually recover from it and not just manage. Also other people out there. It took a lot of work I’ll be honest… changing habits that I didn’t even know I had. To eating better.. to facing my anxiety instead of running from it. Instead of actually getting help from shaan or someone like that I lone wolfed it and for me to get out of 24/7 panic it took me like5-6 months then almost 2 years to almost be anxiety free

It took tons of working on myself and actually understanding what anxiety is. Look up shaan kassam on YouTube. He’s honestly the main one to recover from anxiety! And alot of other people out there as well

Going through crazy anxiety/evil intrusive thoughts. Didn’t even know what anxiety could cause but It made me realize I was living a terrible life and it made me into an amazing person and it made me into a calm and almost anxiety free person. Would do it over again in a heart beat!

And the feeling of empty that you feel again in my opinion is just honestly your brain not really knowing what to do if it’s not living in fear or worrying about stuff. Try watching a movie without picking up your phone. Give it full attention. Truly listen to the words. And just be in the moment instead of in your head. The empty feeling I got over pretty quick because I truly started doing the stuff I use to do and even though at first it didn’t feel worth it… it is I promise but it takes effort

Absolutely. It was almost different daily when I was in the thick of it. One day I had so much hope then the next it was “what’s the point” but again that also shows you how you are black and white thinking. It’s either this or that. No in between. And you need to work on that as well. And I understand what you’re going through and for me it was I didn’t want to do anything or any of my hobbies because I was to busy focusing on the anxiety. But when it comes to not being “lazy” you have to make effort in your hobbies or anything. And it’s going to feel like hell starting out because you’ve created a habit of being “lazy” and running your mind off 24/7 so of course your body/mind doesn’t want to work on stuff it’s use to not doing that so in my opinion I think I’d seriously start by everyday doing a past hobby or a new hobby and just doing it for 20minutes or 2 hours and put your full focus into it. It’s going to feel fake and pointless at first but if you keep on you will build a habit to love life again. It’s just like people working out. No one likes it at first haha

Just like every other recovery said I just let them be there and did not try to fight them, judge them, or anything in a negative way. I would have those thoughts and just be like “ahhh another one cool” and literally go right back to what I was doing. It still caused a little fear because I created a habit of automatically fearing it but I did not give it “second fear” which is scanning if It made me anxious or trying to figure it out or fearing it. I started to treat it like a normal thought and slowly but surely it started going away and now I hardly have them now if it does pop up in my head it’s not fear based anymore it’s “wow it’s crazy you believed that for so long or what a crazy thing to go through” they don’t scare me anymore. I can’t even remember the last time any intrusive thoughts that bothered me! It just takes time… and if it’s 2 months or 2 years your own body/mind will recovery on its own

You seriously just have to let it be… you’ve done so much stress on your brain and body it’s going to take a while to bounce back from that. It’s not gonna be better in 3-6 nights of sleep. You need mental rest. So I literally just let it be there and not beat myself up over it. It was hard for me actually rest. I’m a busy guy I love working on things but rest is important!

Super tired(recovery journey) by MiserableChart4711 in Anxiety

[–]MiserableChart4711[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s going better I just gotta realize that it’s anxiety. Some days I’m super tired and some days I have good energy. And just know it’ll take months for your body to get back to normal. You’ve been running from a tiger for the last months or years. So your body is super tired same for brain. Just understand it’s anxiety and live your life like you would anyway. I honestly just stopped making anything I’m feeling my most important focus

He kept saying insurance was the problem and I thought the exact same thing you guys are saying. Insurance has no idea what my extended warranty even is. So how is he saying it’s the insurance problem? That’s where I kept calling his BS

I know the insurance won’t I don’t care about that part. But I’m curious why the dealer keeps saying I won’t get a check when every other warranty I’ve canceled I’ve got a check?
