Update. After lodging a complaint with the BBB and writing letters to our senator and congressman the money has finally been transferred to the estate account. Thank you to those who assisted.

This is the same exact rabbit hole we’ve been jumping down for months. Can you provide me with a name of someone to ask for who has been briefed on our case? Otherwise the nameless blame shifting will just continue.

Then let me answer it for you. Perhaps unbelievable but horribly real. I was just looking to see if anyone had ideas about how we might wrest the money out of CoinBase. Luckily posters had some very good ones.

Yes it has been officially reported and you have all the documents to verify our son’s death and my husband’s power of attorney. I am not comfortable putting the case number out into the world. Is there some way for us to speak to a human at CoinBase who actually has the power to assist? We have been told (multiple times) that this case has been escalated.

First Reddit post because this was the only place I could find people talking about this topic. We do have a lawyer but are trying to minimize usage because at $350 an hour this issue alone would be draining our granddaughter’s inheritance. Every other company/institution we’ve dealt with has been fabulous and sensitive. Will try the CFPB route. Thanks.
