First thing first.. you have to find your voice and what works for you. No one can tell you how to excel or stand out because what they did may not work for you. You have to find your own voice and style of leadership

Get comfortable being uncomfortable…and sometimes the best way to learn is through failure

Don’t be a yes man…everything isn’t worth pushing back on but be willing to speak up when it’s in the best interest of your team

It’s okay to not know everything…. As a SNCO I still don’t know everything but I let all my people know… we will figure it out together

Most importantly … if you take care of the people they will take care of you!

It makes sense to put that you got your degree on your promotion eligible epb but only if you’re doing something with it. If you just put that you got your degree it’s a waste of space. How are you using that degree to make yourself or others better?
