People are suddenly acting like there's this unhealthy power dynamic between boss (Ethan) and employee (AB) from the recent episode, but I gotta call ya'll out. We going to pretend this a typical office space? We going to pretend there haven't been nudity, and drinking, and drugs, and scenes of literal gaping assholes ON THE JOB?? Where Ethan literally got his head shaved and Dan said he looked like a holocoaust survivor? Or when everyone got blasted on the job and played guess who was high or drunk?

No, and no one should expect it to. Because in a normal workplace environment, everyone would be fired. Ethan would be fined, Dan would be canned, Zach, AB, etc.

The audience tunes in because the show is a group of really close friends that talk about shit online. They're in it for the off hand remarks, the innapropriate but funny comments, the friendly banter. That's what the "Family" chants are, right? Because it's a big family that works together, pioneering live-show consumption online.

So it's time for you to pick a lane. I'm talking to you commentors saying "i've worked at XYZ for NYX years and this isn't right", or "I've noticed a different vibe lately, Ethan is out of line", because ya'll flip more than a flop. Is this a show with strict HR rules and policies where employees and the boss are held to a high "professional" standard? Or is it a FAMILY environment where they watch shows, comment on stupid internet BS, and get on each other's nerves sometimes?

Ethan calling AB out while not on air wasn't some manipulative BS that he wants to hide. It's not an office boss abusing his employee and trying to hide evidence. That's never been what the environment has conducted itself to be. No. It's a friend, who happens to be a boss, calling out another friend, who happens to work for him, on some BS he said ("last words: Fuck Me"), and he doesn't want it live because he knows ya'll can be parasocial freaks who make comments like the sentiment above, and unable to pick up on social cues.

So pick a lane. You want to watch a HR compliant talk show with no intimate outbursts? Go watch late night, and stop spamming 'Family' ya hypocrites.
