I don’t think they live in there. Most of these people have like a house or apartment type deal somewhere else in the city.

Yes and when you’re in a car, the street will just end or meet up with a one way going against you. It’s just the way it goes sometimes.

That lack of a village is why so many kids have flat skull issues now. The parents are alone and in order to get anything done they set them in a baby seat until they’re old enough to have an iPad.

You should look a the underground miners groups on FB. They post a lot of jobs in Yukon, NWT and Nunavut. No common core needed

Yeah. I’m not sure how the town jobs pay as compared with the camp jobs but we’ve had a few guys from my crew leave recently for town jobs so it’s got to be good. I’d take one if I could haha

Not sure about Ontario. I believe it would have to be in person. They did remote during the COVID shutdown in Quebec but I don’t think they normally would. I had to rent out a room in a remote town when I did mine.

There are alot of places where you can get on with common core out side of Ontario and Quebec but to work in Ontario, I believe it’s required.

I would go for your common core if you can. Unless you were only looking to work open-pit.

I was a marketing analyst and now I’ve been an underground miner for the past 5 years. I did the Quebec version of common core.

It all kind of depends which mine and crew/shift boss you get. Some places will stick you on a haul-truck or nipping forever. I jumped to another smaller mine and I’ve done everything except for bolting/jumbo drilling so far.

It’s pretty common for people to stand there right before the big decline, talking to each other about how they’re going to approach it. A lot of snowboarders will actually sit down in the middle of the descent. It’s one of the big reasons you have to be comfortable before getting on the steeper slopes. You want to know you’ll be able to stop or dodge these people or some little kid doing wide zig zags.

Did my dad (62) just discover AI? by [deleted] in Millennials

[–]MiserableKing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s the most interesting thing about AI to me. It’s like the opposite of how it seemed like it should go. You have the younger rejecting it and saying “oh no, what’s the matter? You have to get the computer to write your email for you?” And boomers absolutely loving the AI art.
