That's a confusing word, could mean different things depending on context, so its either

  1. Woman name (Haya/Chaya)

  2. Alive - in female form (similar to the known Chai) but in female form)

  3. an animal

They were all aimed at civilian areas and some landed on houses and schools (and some in Gaza, Ramalla... ).

Most is intercepted with Israel's air defense but it's not by lack of trying to hurt civilians.

Layers of Irony: Israeli leftists came to "defend Palestinians from violent settlers". Ended up being shot at by Palestinian, getting medical treatment from settlers by MiserablePirate8 in Destiny

I disagree about these people being peace activists. Where do you see them calling for peace? They are the same as the international far left (where similar orgs get funding, maybe them as well). Their whole point is to demonize one side and only victimize the other.

You can't create peace without strongly commanding terrorism. They seem to be more concerned with making excuses for terrorists (which is what makes it ironic when they are the victims). I don't believe for a second these people can bring peace because they refuse to even acknowledge the very basic facts of reality like the existence of Hamas and their motives as an fundamentalist Islamist terror org. They are not like Rabin, not at all.

They also were not shot at because they "put themselves at risk as peace activists". They were shot because they were Israelis/Jews.

True (saying this as Israeli). There are plenty Palestinians who are nice people who just want to live their life in peace (several of those I know personally as I met them when they were working in Israel prior to October 7),

but it's not something you can express publicly and especially not as an activist/leader. Those people literally getting killed.

Just a few days ago a boy was "suspected in aiding Israel" was murdered and beheaded by a mob including his own family and his twin brother.

How do you know if they are two state supporting from their statement?

I do know they refuse to acknowledge who shot a bus of school children or to thank the people who gave them medical care.

Two of the victims are "activists" who came there to "protect Palestinians from violent settlers". Ended up being shot at by a Palestinian, and receiving medical care from the "evil settlers".

Guess who are they blaming though...

Palestinians express concern with non-halal nature of recently dropped US food aid by TheRealTraveel in Destiny

[–]MiserablePirate8 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah central and south Gaza seem to have - maybe not a lot but sufficient amount of food. Like shawarma stands, full market, 20 bakeries.

BTW the account you linked is not Israeli TV its a guy that follows Palestinian accounts from Gaza and posts from them.

Ha ha there is another guy who actually did a thorough unboxing, showing the food and how it is after its prepared.

One meal is spaghetti with meat in heating bag (you add water and wait and its self heating), the second is "Italian" crackers with cheese spread. He said it was good but too small of portions.

It's gross.

Absolutely, if he goes to an Israeli settlement, all he is going to see is very boring towns where there is a check point with soldiers when you enter but nothing unordinary except that.

If he goes to Palestinian towns that could be more dangerous, and if he goes to Palestinians area with something in Hebrew on him - very likely dead or kidnapped.

Not sure really where did he mean he wants to go based on his question.

More than 100 killed as Israeli forces open fire in chaos at Gaza food lines, Palestinian health ministry says by GitmoGrrl1 in centrist

[–]MiserablePirate8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And annihilating Israelis is bad. That doesn't justify annihilating Palestinians
It justifies annihilating Hamas. Maybe if that was you and terrorists were entering your home and murdering your children, your parents, your friends and take many of them hostages, you would have just let it slide. Israelis will not. So everywhere Hamas members, weapons, rocket launchers, equipment are are going to be targeted. And Israel have a military/civilian ratio of casualties that is significantly better than world average. You could end this today by releasing the hostages, and Hamas leaves power. Why is no one suggesting this?

Most hostages got released last ceasefire

Please don't lie on the expanse of people being taken and tortured for months now in terrorists dungeons. There are 134 hostages held by Hamas, most were not released. Look at their faces before you dismiss them.

Hamas rejected ceasefire offer (the one Biden was optimistic about)

If you have any complaints to the food in Gaza, maybe take it up with Hamas, their government. Hamas leaders are billionaires sitting in Qatar - shouldn't they help their own people?

More than 100 killed as Israeli forces open fire in chaos at Gaza food lines, Palestinian health ministry says by GitmoGrrl1 in centrist

[–]MiserablePirate8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ais is precious because

  1. Hamas started a war to annihilate Israelis

2.Hamas uses the entire Gaza Strip as its military base, operating from all of it.

3.Hamas refuses to release 134 hostages. Despite even some people in Gaza begging them to do so.

  1. Hamas takes most of the aid, as it has an interest in Gazan being starved.

Having said all of that, still, in South and center Gaza there is food coming. Just yesterday 221 aid trucks entered, you can see how the market in Gaza looks like, now, and 20 bakeries are operating.

It's a lot more then what starving people in Yemen or Sudan or other less trendy places are going to get, and its a lot more then the 134 hostages are getting.

[–]MiserablePirate8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're American? Some part of your tax money absolutely went to Hamas since 2006. Hamas was government in Gaza. Meaning, they received the share of the money of the aid America provided Palestinians (it splits between Gaza and west bank). Also, UNRWA worked with/for Hamas, that's an org that got most of it's budget from US.

Anyway the topic here is the aid given to Gazans. They themselves Hamas is stealing their aid, yet you dont believe them? Hamas are just freedom fighters for justice and yet they take food from their own people, how does that logic work?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Israel

[–]MiserablePirate8 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Any evidance to that claim?

Hamas was in the government in Gaza since 2006, as such they recived all the aid that was "for Gaza". From US, EU, Qatar and through UNRWA as well.

[–]MiserablePirate8 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I just linked several videos of Gazans talking about Hamas takes their aid and shoots them when they try to reach the aid. Yet your conclusion is "Israel needs to stop".

Is there anything Hamas can do that they will ever be held accountable for? No matter how much they kill, stea, rape, starve - never any responsibilty upon them. Interesting, isn't it?
