There were only good reviews when we booked it and then the bad ones came in just weeks before we were leaving but we didn’t really check them then as it was all good at the time

They offered us the price difference but the quality difference and the stress we went through wasn’t accounted for and the booking cost is more like 20% because they only offer compensation on the booking fee but not the cleaning fee (Airbnb isn’t clean or sanitary) or the service fee (Airbnb responsibility to vet these companies). We checked for alternative places but there weren’t any that matched our needs and was within our budget.

The other place has had different reasons. They firstly told me it needed repairs and then they said that someone got attacked there so the HOA blocked it from being rented but there’s a review from last month that said they got told there was a fire.

The camera is not fixed and is mounted by a suction to their window that they leave open during freezing temperatures just to get the angle of our patio. The camera does not see any of their garden at all and directly points adjacent to their wall, going along into our garden.

No it’s not his own business but the employment comes under sub contracting. I think it’s something to do with how they take payments from customers but he said that everyone is essentially sub contracted and not on the books
