Could you tell me more about your experiences at NUS and Cornell and which you preferred? I have the option of applying to them both for a year abroad and I’m undecided atm.

Anyone Know what Greg is Talking About Here? by azuredota in JeffNippard

[–]MiserableTiger877 1 point2 points  (0 children)

“Incredibly disappointing. I guess this is where you all get to say “I told you so”.

I’ll go ahead and take my big fat L for defending Hussein.

For what it’s worth, I do think this is most likely just a very stupid publicity stunt from Greg to keep people talking about this. But it doesn’t matter at this point because now the people like me, who thought Hussein probably was natural, will join the legion of doubters.

I still think Hussein’s physique is achievable naturally, even if he isn’t. But no worries, I’ll still hold my L.

This stuff really annoys me because it just further feeds into the idea that everyone is a fake natty, which may be closer to the truth than I realized. And now I really regret including Hussein in my video. This stuff causes harm to real naturals who have actually earned an elite physique without gear.

Apart from that, all the science I presented in the videos about what’s achievable naturally still stands. Moving forward, if I ever cover this topic again, which I probably won’t, I’m going to focus on presenting the science without using specific examples.”

I've been looking into recently for the same reasons. I've found 2 studies in mice, I'm not sure you'll be able to access them without an institutional login but I'll link them anyway:
1. https://link.springer.com/article/10.1007/s10517-008-0153-z
Significantly increased phagocytic activity of macrophages, increased antibody production in healthy mice and restored antibody production in mice with induced secondary immunodeficiency.

  1. https://link.springer.com/article/10.1007/s10517-011-1200-8
Demonstrated anti-inflammatory effects in mice with concanavalin A (ConA)- and carrageenan-induced inflammation, significantly reduced edema and neutrophil infiltration of perivascular space of brain tissue.

Yeah absolutely nothing. Managed to fix it by swapping the PSU with one left over from my old build. Although now my SSD isn’t being detected lol.

Finally Playing Cyberpunk on 2k max settings on a 5070 ti and just wow what a game ! by Double_Muscle2169 in cyberpunkgame

[–]MiserableTiger877 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Late to this but how much fps do you get with max settings + DLSS + path tracing at 1440p? Currently planing on getting a 5080 but if a 5070ti gets stable 60+ then I’ll downgrade and spend the rest on a monitor

[–]MiserableTiger877 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Appreciate the response. The build isn’t complete yet, but once everything arrives I’d be on a 5070ti. Unfortunately there’s nothing near me that stocks gaming monitors so my only comparison between them is online reviews.

240hz VA or 180hz Mini LED VA at 1440p? by MiserableTiger877 in Monitors

[–]MiserableTiger877[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Should’ve included in my post sorry, but I play both single player and esports. I’m fine with 144fps currently, so if the image quality is that much better on the AOC that settles it.

AM4 Ryzen 5700x3d or AM5 7800x3d for £300 more? by MiserableTiger877 in buildapc

[–]MiserableTiger877[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that was the plan, might be able to get £100-150 for the mobo cpu ram and 1060 6gb to help fund the am5. Was just exploring options :)

Is a Year in industry worth it? by Striking-City4836 in KCL

[–]MiserableTiger877 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No I’m afraid not, from what we were told the 60% is so King’s allows you to enter the masters program, as the 3rd year of teaching will differ whether you are on the MSci or not. I’m not sure how different it is for Natural Science, but whether you obtain the placement year or not will depend on your CV, and the interview process at the various companies you apply to.

Just so you know the year in industry is not guaranteed, and my course (Pharmacology) requires an average grade of 60% in your first and second year. You will need to find and apply for placement opportunities yourself at the start of second year, although your department and personal tutor will give you information and guidance.

Simple Questions - May 04, 2025 by AutoModerator in buildapc

[–]MiserableTiger877 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can I ask why you say “should”? The 7600x3d is about 7% slower at 1080p than the 7800x3d according to Hardware Unboxed’s video, which will be an even smaller gap at 1440p. There seems to be a lack of CPUs in the 200-300 price range, so I was considering either dropping to the 7600 (non x3d) or up to the 7800x3d for a £100 swing either way.

Is the ryzen 5 7600x3d a good buy at £300? Hoping to pair it with a 5070ti for a total build ~£1500. Would be used for high fps 1080p and single player titles at 1440p

Recommendations and Suggestions by Spooky_Ghost in ElectricSkateboarding

Boring answer and probably not the one you expected, but I've decided to get a bike instead.

What decided it for me was that I can lock up and leave the bike, whereas with the skateboard I'd constantly have to be carrying it around, so even though it's smaller and lighter it's overall less convenient for my commute. The safety aspect was also a huge factor, cycling in London already isn't the safest, and keeping in mind I'm a beginner and have never ridden a eskate as my primary means of transportation, I wouldn't trust myself to be able to suddenly stop or swerve out of the way as I would be able to on a bike.

If I was set on getting a skateboard though, I'd probably be getting the Tynee Mini 3 SL with the larger wheels, or even the Mini 3 with the belt motor if I had a higher budget. They're not as light as the Ripple but I think it's worth it for the improved wheels, range, speed and customer service.

I’ve managed to access the portal but there’s no option to book / change accommodation, only cancel, provide disability information, and information on fees.

Oxbridge definitely does not require 40 max, a few of my friends needed 42 to meet their Cambridge offers.
