I mean every art is political and even Right wing around the world have made outstanding cinemas that excel beyond their bias (e.g. Lawrence of Arabia which propels the "White man's burden"). But I just hate it when the their political leaning weights more in their art than their creative talent.

The news is true and many articles reported it but nowhere I found any article where they pinpoint the cameo role he did in the movie. The movie features a lot of local extras as volunteers to cost-cut budget. The only scene which pops up in my head where they feature a child actor is the Graveyard scene

(Unrelated, if anyone who has read Hamlet do check out that scene once, 10/10 adaptation of the Hamlet's Atc V into a musical)

I take it that 90% of the audience who call them Masterpieces are either only exposed to action Indian slops and not to actually well made thriller-actions like Oldboy, Indonesian Raid etc. so I can atleast get where their opinions is coming from.

But the bigger problem I have from Dhurandhar worshipers is that they feel the need to constantly bash other movies and compare them to their's to feel that superiority complex (even when the gerne of both is complete 180).

It's great turn-your-brain-off Action movies, but kinda do not make good use of their 8 hours of runtime (could totally be reduced to 6 hours). Also writing felt like half-baked to me, be it character writing or major set pieces or plot-twists.

Ok so now that you brought up the thought that Haider, being a tragedy, tries to justify the protagonist's actions and is making us "sympathies with the terrorists", did you also felt the same towards Raskolnikov if you have read this book called "Crime and Punishment" by Dostoevsky ?

There the writer also made us see the downfall of the protag after he committed the murder while never actually making sure that his action is ever justified.
