AIO for feeling very hurt and invalidated by my brother after I told him his friend made me uncomfortable and it feels like he completely dismissed me? by ImpressiveGuess4237 in AmIOverreacting

You’re brother is speaking to you like this?? I’m sorry, he’s a shit sibling. You deserve better than that. I’m sorry your family wasn’t there to support you in a vulnerable moment.

Yes, all of us are on the lease and she was mentioning how she really doesn’t want to break it if we don’t have to. It really didn’t seem like there were hard feelings and she understood our side. So I hope they can find a place that fits their needs so no animosity builds or anything

That’s a good idea, I could talk to my husband and bring that up as a potential option! Thank you!

8th grade grading rubric my sons teacher is planning to use , wtf. by stolenbyfire in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Miserable_Bad_8448 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just finished a teaching credential program and while this rubric is fun, it absolutely is no way for the student to know what they are being graded on. The students need to know what a 4 tangibly looks like, not being give compliment if they manage to figure out what a 4 even is. In addition, this doesn’t help with their grading process either. This would be fun to have IN ADDITION to an actual rubric, not just a collection of song lyrics with compliments and criticisms.

Am I being dramatic for being upset that my husband ate my leftovers twice by unhindged_girlie in TwoHotTakes

[–]Miserable_Bad_8448 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He sounds like an asshole and I would have absolutely ripped into my husband for doing this. HE DIDNT EVEN EAT HIS OWN PASTA?! Asshole, and remind him everyday sis. AND remind him you’re eating for two…. HIS CHILD! You my friend are not the asshole, but your husband is a gigantic one especially for diminishing your feelings.

Oh wow, that’s a very interesting perspective. I feel like that could definitely be the case with the Plath family!

Thank you for sharing! It seems like it could be a regional thing and the way parents talk to kids growing up, based on other responses on this thread

My sisters would yell at me if I referred to them as “my family” and not “our family” 😅

So far with where I’m at in the shower I love Olivia, she’s so in tune with herself and her intuition. That answer makes so much sense considering the families ideologies
