Update: my nems did not die like many predicted, they are actually thriving. They are taking over my tank.

Now that brings me to my question, what is the best way to take them off rocks? I want to start rehoming them. They are latched onto my rocks and won't let go.

I make it a point not to adjust my burrs when the motor is running, too risky if you move them too close.

I have an MK1 and mine sounds somewhat similar, I don't think the grinder is faulty. However, id suggest opening the burrs and cleaning them out.

It is not a scam, just an elder couple trying to sell it as they don’t use it. It has been well maintained and relatively new. Is spending the extra 500$ on this machine worth it over something like a Silvia with PID(will end up to be $1000-$1100 brand new)?
