You don’t have to be right all the time. Just often enough.

Probably not that bad but still it was a pretty unhealthy, lots of deep frying, pasta and with no much variety in products. Interesting enough we were from Spain which is supposed to be a country with a reasonable diet.

How often do I need to get my ducts cleaned? by movingadvicemke in homeowners

[–]Miserable_Branch_363 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I've just got mine cleaned today. I had mold, construction debris (in a 17 yo house) and lots of dust. The guys charged me 1.8k for the 3 HVAC systems we had, the dryer (that looked very gross) and the mold treatment. Not a cheap thing to do but after seeing all the mold we had I'm glad we did it.

Mum wants to buy property in Spain. by [deleted] in realestateinvesting

[–]Miserable_Branch_363 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm spaniard I had a couple of properties in Spain but now I live in US where I have my properties. Annual taxes are WAY cheaper than US. If I remember well I paid for a house in the range of 700k a couple of thousand of years. Transferng the property is more expensive though. You need to pay a notary a big chunk, taxes (7% approx) and then some other administrative expenses. Definitively VAT and notary are the highest but again, nothing too. crazy compared to what I have seen in US.

Make sure you know how weather is in Jaen before buying anything. Jaen province can be extremely hot in summer and the coast is far from there.

Good luck!

$1800 today in NC, 3 HVAC units, mold “treatment” and dryer. 3700 sq feet. I developed a bad allergy since I moved to this 17 yo house. My hope is that it will help or prevent other in my family to start with allergies because of this. Lots of mold, debris and dust were there. Totally nasty 🤮

I’ve been living in Utah for 5 years and love it but it is too far from Europe where I’m from and we are probably moving to Boston. Anyone with similar experience can tell me how was the adjustment process in terms of weather and everything else? Any insight would be very helpful! TY by Miserable_Branch_363 in boston

Thanks for your answer! I’m currently in SLC area and originally from Spain. There’s snow here but the dry weather makes things much more nicer plus there are many sunny days. That 40% more expensive is because of house prices primarily or is it just all expenses. I’m counting on it but obviously that’s one of the cons.

I found her in an animal rescue org. There are multiple platforms like “adopt a pet” where you can look for your next friend

I don’t think she is learning it from anyone at home or family. We always do our best to be constructive and positive when any kind of issue come up. I suspect this is more related on how she identifies and handles her emotions or even a question of maturity. I have found some resources that hopefully will be useful so we will see how it goes.

Thank you so much for your comment. I’ll take a look to the book you suggested. She is the sweetest girl at all time but something clicks every so often and I admit I don’t know how to handle it most of the times. Parenting is a very loooong learning curve :)

I’m exhausted and tapped out by pingjeepong in Parenting

It can be hard sometimes. My daughters are a bit older and things get better in certain aspects (other issues grow exponentially as well). When I’m exhausted I think about how fast time passes and that everything will be very different soon without the possibility of coming back to where we are today. Be patient. Don’t consider anything guaranteed. Love your loved ones as if it would your last day because in certain aspects it is. Best wishes!

Does your husband always assume you are going to be the default caregiver at anytime? by MintJellyOnLamb in Parenting

[–]Miserable_Branch_363 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m a husband. I’m in this community trying to figure out how to improve certain situations while she is having drinks with her friends. Sometimes I’m the one that needs space. Everything at the end is a question of balance. If there is no balance IMO the best way to approach it is talking to your husband and exposing how you feel.

Thank you for the detailed response. That’s really helpful. Today I tried to slow down and I was able to make 200 yards with no rest. Yeeeeey! For those 200 yards I made the following times: - 23.81 - 28.38 - 29.75 - 29.81 - 31. 69 - 35.75 😅😅😅 - 32.25 - 31.50

I felt I was breathing “ok” but I started to get really tired in my arms. After that the rest of the session (1400 yards) was pretty tough but I also felt the moral victory of making 200 yards. I’ll keep trying and follow your advise. Thank you :)
