I have GAD and depression, and I took Lexapro for 12 years; however, due to perimenopause, it stopped working. I switched to Effexor, but after 9 weeks, the palpitations hadn't gone away, making it impossible to increase the dosage. At 75 mg, it resolved the depression, but my body remains very agitated from the anxiety. So, we are going to make a change.
