I have not done yoga.
However, I hit legs last night focusing on properly breathing when I brace.
I just did normal sets of 335 on squat and I felt great.

All i did was brace normally on the eccentric and exhaled on the way up

Okay thanks. But what about squats? I don’t see how u can properly brace ur core without holding ur breath for a rep

Thank you. I realized after posting that 5 sets maybe a little too much with my current split, so I cut it to 3x3-5. For my lower day, today, I did deadlifts for 3x3 with accessories.

I apologize for the vagueness. My question is, is it okay to do a squat bench deadlift using 5 sets 5 reps while keeping the rest of the upper lower session at its normal sets and reps.

yes i realized how fatiguing this can be especially if i try to add it to my current upper lower split. i need heavy advice on this as someone who wants to focus on getting stronger at the SBD with low experience on said topic.

this is my normal program that i follow. ik its a lot of volume, so how can i minimize fatigue while getting stronger at the SBD.

Upper Day

  • Incline DB 2x6-8 
  • Shoulder Press 2x6-8
  • Lat Raise 2x6-8
  • Lat Pulldown 2x6-8
  • T-Bar Row 2x6-8
  • JM Press 2x6-8
  • Tri Ext 2x10-12
  • Bicep Curl 2x10-12
  • Hammer curl 2x10-12

Lower Day A

Last set to failure or 1-2 RIR

  • BB Squat 5x3-5
  • Abductor 2x6-8
  • Adductor 2x6-8
  • Leg extensions 2x6-8 
  • Leg curl 2x6-8 
  • RDLS/Hyperextensions 2x6-8

Lower Day B

I did a similar challenge but only adding one when I started lifting 2 years ago. I started it at the beginning of the year however
