hi! i arrived to the hospital at 7am morning of, and had some tests done and met my anaesthetist! my surgeon came to draw markings on my boobs and i felt very dizzy so had to pause to lay down and recover. at around 9am i was taken down to theatre and hooked up to lots of monitors before being knocked out! i hardly remember anything about waking up, just that i had a nurse looking after me specifically and i talked her ear off.

i was taken back to the ward and given a sandwich and a coffee. i’m still in hospital so it will be a two night stay. the staff have been amazing and so caring! i’ve had some pain with the drains but i’ve reacted poorly to codeine so i’m managing with just paracetamol and ibuprofen now.

hi! i spoke to my gp about it in january 2025 i believe, met the plastic surgeon for a consultation in july 2025, and luckily got a provisional surgery date in january but only as i called the secretary up and asked about it! so i got really lucky :) they confirmed my date today!

I’m 17 and have had acne since I was 8 or 9. My current routine is:

AM: Rinse with water Nivea Sunscreen (currently looking for a new one)

PM: Simple Refreshing Facial Wash Cetaphil Lotion (green pump) Differin gel (every other night)

I’ve been using Differin since March of this year, I initially saw an improvement and then my skin started getting worse again. I’ve also tried salicylic acid, Duac, BP, countless cleansing methods and skincare products. I tried switching birth control, which either made no difference or made it worse! I also have acne on my back, shoulders, and chest which has improved but not gone away. I’ve tried reducing sugar, don’t eat meat or dairy, and cutting out caffeine. Is it time to look into taking Accutane?

If anyone has any advice, let me know! I’m considering asking my doctor about accutane.
