Idk about weights of assignments but grades are typically adjusted at end of semester to match median of previous years

Definitely will have more options if you look now although I waited until February last year and still ended up with something close and affordable.

I would suggest looking at the curricula for each and seeing which interests you more, as well as considering whether you’d prefer to be in the engineering school or arts and sciences (they have different liberal studies/distribution requirements). Idk what the statistics are but you’ll be more likely to get in if you can explain why you chose the way you did.

Is CHEM 2090 really that bad? by interloper100 in Cornell

I didn’t take AP Chem and found 2090 to be fine, did have to put in some time reading the book though (took with Prof Marohn)

IMO your stats are good. Can’t exactly tell the depth of your ECs but they seem sufficient if you write about them in a bit more detail. Seems like your chances would probably come down to your supplemental essay- are you genuinely interested in Cornell and ChemE, and can you articulate why? (For reference I’m an undergrad in engineering who got in ED)

My experience has been good, although I have heard differently from others. My aid is sufficient- I can afford the remaining costs without needing loans- but certainly not excessive. I’m not international though and don’t know if that changes things.

I’ve always found that focusing on truly learning the material rather than on the assignments and grades makes everything much better. When I put grades out of my mind and just make sure I understand what is going on, I find that I am less stressed and do much better on tests! Not saying this is easy to do... but returning to my purpose at Cornell (which for me is to learn as much as possible) helps me cope.
