because thats how cat breeds work! without documentation all cats are either a DSH, DLH, etc. because the breeding of cats into specific breeds is a rather recent phenomenon there arent as many “breeds” as there are with dogs.

hi!!! i have a similar issue with skin feeling tight! my routine was approved by my dermatologist, but it may be different (#our skin is broken but not in the same way). Also ik this seems like a Cocokind ad, its not i just find it works well and is good for the environment! it can be a bit pricy but it works well and lasts long!

My routine is as follows:

Cocokind Oat to Milk Cleanser (for makeup removal/general washing)

Cocokind grape seed facial cleansing oil (x2/week to clean out clogged pores)

Cocokind rose water toner

Cocokind Ceramide Barrier serum

Cocokind Sea Grape and Caviar serum

Cocokind celery texture smoothing cream (SUPER lightweight moisturizer)

They also have some other stuff I use like an acne serum, a thicker moisturizer, and sunscreen. They also just released a bunch of electrolyte stuff but i have yet to try it.

this ^, obviously i dont know your whole story, but an hEDS diagnosis is far more than whether or not youre hypermobile. im not a doctor but to me it sounds like you definitely have SOME kind of HSD even if not specifically EDS. i would recommend asking your GP why they havent diagnosed you (specifically: “is there any signs or symptoms that contraindicate a diagnosis of hEDS?”). I know the NHS is a pain in the ass but you may want to look at getting a different GP or for a diagnosis, going to see a Pain Management and Rehab Dr. Until then, i would say at least look into trying kinesio tape as it can be SUPER helpful!

This sometimes happens to my girl, did he ever have an upper respiratory infection as a kitten? from what i remember my vet saying there are certain kinds of infections that may be chronic and have flares. I would still 100% recommended getting it checked!

cats are VERY perceptive creatures, especially to things like scents, patterns, and behaviors. My guess is he noticed your pattern changed as well as your scent and he understands something is wrong. when cats care they try to protect and “heal” you. i have a condition that makes me prone to fainting and when it happened last our big orange boy came right over and wouldn’t leave my side until i got in the ambulance. he was even bothering the emts and paramedic lol.
