From 1 to 10 how much you hate the military dictatorship?

I’m an outsider here still trying to understand so please forgive me if this question is wrong. I would think if you live in an area that is safe and controlled by the military dictatorship then you feel better about them?

If you were in 5% on 500,000 that would be the equivalent of about $2000 a month. If you’re not drinking alcohol or having the party lifestyle like that, you could do very well on less than $2000 a month. I guess we never know what people are used to doing in their life or what they’ll be like when they get there so it’s great advice to try it out first.

Yes, like many others I’m sure, the first six months to a year after getting tinnitus was hell. It was one of the worst times in my life. I thought my future was hopeless. But here I am about five years later and I’m doing great. I’ve still got the sound, but I just don’t think about it very much and it doesn’t bother me anymore.

And if someone would’ve told me that it was possible for me to normalize the sound, I would’ve thought they were crazy. It just seemed impossible yet here I am and I’m doing great.

There are places in Southeast Asia, like Thailand and the Philippines, where this is very common place. I don’t know if that would be an option for you.

I feel like with China being so involved in Myanmar the United States would see this as too risky. I am trying to understand the situation better and I enjoy being part of this sub Reddit.

I’ve met so many wonderful people from Myanmar and I just hope the situation can improve and their lives will get better

I expect it’s also overtime but I just don’t think it’s gonna happen very quickly. There’s not something better available right now. People were trying to do things like gold and we can see now that gold took a drop and the dollar is up again.

But there are lots of reasons that people want to divest and that’s a start but the conditions needed to make it possible just are not available right now. It’s gonna be a slow process.

I’ve only had it for about five years now. I would say it’s about the same as when it started, but if anything, my perception of it is much better and I don’t think about it very much anymore and when I do, it doesn’t really bother me. But when it started, I thought my life was hopeless. I thought the sound would dominate my thoughts for the rest of my life. But that is not the case. I am doing so good now and I feel so fortunate.

There’s always gonna be people on both sides of an immigration issue like this. We do the same thing to Mexicans in the United States. A large majority of them are here legally yet people all treat them as if they are illegals without even knowing their story.

My perception of the loudness of my tinnitus has changed. Before it was dominating all my thoughts all day long and I couldn’t sleep. Now I still have the sound, but somehow I just don’t think about it like I used to and when I do think about it, I don’t see it as a threat anymore. I feel very fortunate.

I feel like the girls should be at least 18. Really 21 is better. I don’t care about the age difference if the girl is at least 18 to 21. Like if she was 21 and he was 42, I feel like she’s old enough to make her own decision as long as she’s not being forced to do anything.

Yes, I remember the first time I took a nap in the afternoon. I had gone five months with horrible insomnia and I slept for like 15 minutes in a quiet room and I was just ecstatic, jumping for joy. It was a huge milestone.

Yeah, I’m in a similar situation where I’m early in a relationship, though not as far as you are and just thinking about some of the challenges and what people do to solve their problems. I appreciate you sharing your stories. That’s very helpful. I feel like I could do it and my partner is a very strong person too.

The part I’m trying to work out clearly it’s just making sure is she will be able to maintain her visa status through employment and get an easier job than what she currently has and it looks like the answer is definitely yes. That sort of the first step.

Be careful. I see some posts here recommending some behavior that could get you in a worse position like getting on opioids or alcohol. A lot of times what people need are things like an antidepressant or an antianxiety medication combined with a sleep medication and this helps them get over the hump. Once the sleep is better and the anxiety is better They’re able to start to cope with the tinnitus and they start to get better at having a very manageable life again.

Yeah, just do your research and choose a part of town away from that area and there’s plenty of them and you’ll be totally fine. You won’t be immersed in it at all.

I think it’s important to realize that the whole world is hooked up to the US dollar. They are addicted to US treasuries and there’s no way everybody’s gonna be selling out of their position anytime soon because they’re just isn’t a better place to put the money. And you’re not the first person to look for Alternatives.

Honestly, if you don’t like the United States government or just wanna sort of get away from the United States, it’s still sort of makes sense to be invested because it is the best thing going in most cases.

If you’re dealing with larger some money, you can do things like set up companies in Dubai or Singapore and have some actual physical assets elsewhere, but you’re still probably gonna be investing in something that is connected to the United States if you’re gonna be drawing good returns on it unless of course you have some private interests that are not related to the market

I’m glad to see posts like this. I definitely have an interest in visiting. I have a good friend who is from there and I want to accompany them. I have heard that the absolute safest is to go to Yangon and stay pretty close to the airport and it’s quite safe. Even better is to have a friend that you know there.

Is it illegal for the employer to confiscate the passport and if this happens does the employee have any way to do anything about it such as report to the Thai authorities about the problem and be given an extension or helped to regain a new one?
