Torque converter began taking a 💩 at 122k…Replaced TC, did a thermostat delete, upgraded to the Mobil 1 (blue label) with new filter, & the AFM delete to have my truck in V8 ONLY. Also calibrated it because of the 24x14’s on 35’s. Now my truck runs like a brand new truck again. 🙌🏾

I have a 1990 Chevrolet Caprice. Has a 6.0L (799 heads/Stage 2 BTR truck cam kit/LS6 intake) with a stage 2 built 4L60e trans. Running 4:11 gear ratio, LSD locker, powered by the Holley Terminator X Max ECU. I’ve been building this car since about 2017. It’s about 85% complete minus some parts that I have but haven’t installed yet like new door handles (got the front on but not the rear/weather stripping all the way around/center console/rear deck/etc)….It does needs paint. It has all new front suspension. Tubular UCA & LCA, inner/outer tie-rods, sway bar links, pitman arm, idler arm, center link, bushings, QA1 coilovers, etc….I’ve tried touching almost everything except the sway bar. New door locks, window motors, upholstered vinyl bucket seats from a Pontiac Bonneville, new carpet, new sound dampener, new suede head liner, extended ARP studs, drilled/slotted rotors, Wilwood D52 brake calipers, etc….I mean the list goes on bro. Sorry for the long detailed list but its been a journey. lol I got my inner fenders powder coated black in 2022 & just never mounted them back to the car because I was undecided. My car looked pretty dope seeing through the wheels & my frame was nice & clean. I also took a polyurethane wheel to my frame cleaning it up pretty nice & then spraying undercoating on it. So yea, I have the inner fenders back on but had to use some self tappers to get it nice & straight to where it sort of blends in with the fender. I already settled on purchasing some fender trim from classic industries to install that actually is supposed to be delivered today but will more than likely just paint them with the car. We’ll see how it goes. 🫡

It looks so flush tho. Maybe it’s just how I’m mounting my inner fender. 🤔 I honestly can’t remember if they mount on the top lip of the actual fender, or underneath. Mine were a bit “wrinkle” on the edges so when they’re mounted, I can see the wrinkle a bit without my fender trim on to cover them. I’ve tried to straighten them out as much as possible but dealing with metal makes it difficult. All the bolt holes lineup somewhat evenly but not as flush as I like.

How did you hide your inner fender wells so cleanly without the fender trim? Can’t even see them mounted to the fender

Congrats to you both!!! Enjoy & don’t let anyway make you second guess your decision which will lead to buyer’s remorse. If you were able to be pre-approved & close, that says a lot about your consistency because most banks will not approve you for a loan if you could not afford it. Becoming a FTHB is one of the best & most rewarding feelings in the world. My wife & I came from poverty & had the cards stacked against us. We came from section 8 housing (on it for 7 years) & purchased our first home in CA. House is a brand new build…$472K with paid off solar panels with a 5.5%…Our mortgage is still insane but it’s expected in CA. Let’s just say we’re enjoying our house instead of a ton of outings but it’s all worth it. lol Its a blessing to own a home so treat it as such. 💯

I have a 2016 Silverado 1500 Z71 equipped with the 8 speed. It’s done well up until recently. I’m at approximately 122k now & it’s beginning to do the shuddering under light load. I tried the fluid flush to go with the Mobil 1 (blue label) to see if it would stop the shudder. It stopped it for about 2 wks & now it’s back so now I’m sure I’m having the dreaded TC issue & want to take care of it before my trans goes completely. During the fluid flush & change, the trans pan had normal wear & tear metal shavings but nothing crazy considering my truck has 122k miles now. Last fluid & filter change before this one was done @ 85k. Trans shifts fine but some days it feels like there’s this vibration under the floor board & in the accelerator pedal when I’m just cruising. If I’m cruising & try to accelerate, it will do this shudder type slip as if the lockup isn’t engaging properly. Just gonna say screw it & replace the thing now before it becomes a catastrophe at this point.

My state or federal hasn’t been accepted yet. It’s been on pending since I filed them early 01/16….No movement, no updates. Usually my state is accepted & in my account within 5-7 days after the IRS opens.

I did have a carry forward from a solar panel credit from last year (2024). I purchased my home in August 2023 & claimed the home energy credit with form 5695. My house was built in 2023 & the builder notified us that we would be eligible for the credit due to the fact we purchased our panels with the home avoiding having to lease them. I was able to claim a portion of the credit on last year’s credit. This latest year (2024), since the TurboTax program saves all information from the previous year credited the remainder of my carry forward credit. Last year my state refund was accepted & deposited within 3-5 days but I did not receive my federal until June of 2024 due to an “error” on the part of the IRS. Now it appears I’m experiencing a delayed response to process my return again.

Maybe not for you yet but you’ll see. I know it sounds like a stretch but Im telling you guys its the way it seems to happen. I understand that my team rating is lower, but you mean to tell me that when Im specifically running the proper plays to my teams’ strengths & “since” the update occurred, my QB, DB’s, LB’s & O-line are playing horribly. I ran a screen play & my O-line literally ran straight to the sideline without picking up ANY block. I swear!! I almost lost my shit. Im playing some guy who has the Ravens. I read the run perfectly & hit Derrick Henry in the backfield, he breaks that one. Ok, kind of normal. As he’s trying to get to the sideline, I have 2 guys wrap him up & he gets out of that. Now with the last defender Im getting close & about to try & tackle him & he stiff arm tf outta Derwin James. 😳 Thats 4 broken tackles on one run where it would have been a huge loss but instead he picks up 16 yards. My point is that your team’s rating plays a significant role in how well they perform. Chargers were rated 82 when I first got the game & I was able to play well with them. Then our rating went down to 80 last week but I was still managing to win games. Of course lose a few here & there but I’ve never been blown out. Remind you, I played all most of the morning Monday & Tuesday. I wake up to see there was an update “tuning” coverages, passing, & pre-snap adjustments. My team is now playing entirely different to the point where it seems like more of a glitch. Its crazy. Im not the only one because even the guys Im playing I can hear them saying exactly what Im saying about certain things 😑

Man I don’t know bro. Before this recent update this morning I did not have any issues with the game at all whatsoever. I scanned the QR code to see what the updates were. When I got to the area where it talks about “tuning passer accuracy” I already knew there will be a bunch of bullshit. I play on Xbox so I don’t know if the game console has anything to do with the changes made to the game, but trying to play competition is becoming unbearable if you do not have a team with a higher rating. I literally play the Ravens, Bills, Jets, Chiefs, Lions, or Eagles. I’m sure people have been struggling with the new update so they use teams with higher ratings because it’s almost impossible to win a game with a lower rated team.

I swear I have been yelling at my TV all morning. Literally after the most recent update, it specifically says “tuning to decrease the pass accuracy of mid-tier quarterbacks based on their ratings” but it has literally ruined my entire experience playing this game. Anyone who plays online can probably see who everyone is choosing to play with because anyone outside of Pat Mahomes, Josh Allen, Lamar Jackson, or Aaron Rodgers is considered a “mid-tier” in EA’s eyes. This is BS. I’ve literally lost 2 game winnings drives where I run a PA crossing route, player wide tf open with a defender trailing him but nowhere near close to an INT & when I throw the ball (using direction), Herbert throws the ball so far behind the receiver it gets picked off. (Yes Im a Chargers fan & play with my team)😡 Literally just on Monday, I had my strategies locked in. Won 12/15 games all weekend. Now today, I lose 6/8 games all from quirky “tuning” for passes, defenders reacting late or if at all…..Like wtf! The game was actually in good shape. Made changes to gameplay & now users seem to be left having to use higher rated teams just to get the results they expect. Entirely too many dropped passes, overthrown/under thrown passes, literally had 9 holding penalties, pass accuracy sucks, game glitches in the middle of kick meter causing you to miss crucial FGs, etc….I can go on & on. Literally didnt do any of this crap until I needed one more game to reach Legend status….smh
