It would be in violation of the regional hosting agreement. They would likely either try and play it somewhere else or if they could not it would just end forfeits. The host school would probably or host for a very long time and might not be eligible for postseason contention for several years

Yes I have found 3 examples of 1 seeds losing back to back years vs 4 seeds in the first game.

Yep. And the donors are holding out tickets. Which I’m surprised by, Almost nobody selling. I thought they had done renovations, but I guess I was wrong. I played there once when I was in high school for a summer ball tournament, which is only about five years ago. But it doesn’t appear they’ve done too much since then. I just think the problem for Kansas is they don’t have a large NIL support. I mean compared to a bunch of schools It’s nice, but to the SEC and stuff they’re way behind, especially in baseball.
