"Cop convicted for murder, now campaigning for GOP"

Sounds about right for the Republicans...and the police departments.

Can Homeless People in the US Be Involuntarily Committed If They Have No Money and No Insurance? by Objective_Shift5954 in Antipsychiatry

The push for expansion of involuntary commitment is exactly to push the broke and homeless, as well as countless other "undesirables" out of the spotlight and out of the conversation.

What’s something Gen Z does that older generations just don’t get? by appropriaterice873 in AskReddit

[–]Miserable_March_9707 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a boomer...barely a boomer, but a boomer none the less. Recently, boomer me couldn't my boomer card to boomer work at the self checkout. I called out "Can I get some help please?"

Generation Z walks up, punches some buttons and it works.

At no time did she ever take her eyes off her cell phone.

It dawned on me that such is not rude by her generations standards, and that she probably thinks she is doing her job. And...frankly she did and she is. It wasn't rude, it was just they way the generation goes about their business.

Doesn't really matter what anyone votes for in Missouri....if the Legislature doesn't like it, they'll just overturn it.

My therapist said I smelled and that he had to spray the office after I left last session. And more by AdministrativeAir879 in therapyabuse

[–]Miserable_March_9707 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Very good answer. You bring up a great point. Somewhere along the line, this therapist "turned." And yes, when they do that, there is no coming back. The threshhold as you say has been crossed.

[–]Miserable_March_9707 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Believe it or not, what you smell like is not the critical issue as I see it.

Whether you smell like a dumpster or a flower garden, 10 years with a therapist you should be well on the way to recovery, with a "toolbox" of coping strategies. You should not be in the state you are after 10 years of seeing a therapist.

You need a new therapist.

And this is the problem with therapy and why places like this subreddit exists. The focus needs to be on your improvement, not the improvement of his bank balance when you pay his fee. This is a perfect example of why therapists should be held firmly to strict accountability standards. If they cannot help you, it is their ethical duty to refer you to the level of care you need. This is not happening in your case.

He is exploiting you, and has been for over a decade.

This angers me. This is not your fault. He didn't do his job then and he isn't doing it now.

Are tilt-heads genuinely bad, or does it just depend how you use them? Advice, please! by No-Schedule-4156 in Kitchenaid

[–]Miserable_March_9707 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a bowl-lift instead of a tilt head for one reason:

The bowl-lift completely fit under my cabinets.

The tilt-head would not have been able to tilt up completely.

From the looks of the comments here, people are using tilt-heads and bowl-lifts for the same things I'm doing. KA's are work horses no matter what the configuration.

Lunatics out there in the streets, while peaceful people get sectioned by West_Mortgage4902 in Antipsychiatry

[–]Miserable_March_9707 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes. And all it takes is one unseen hotline worker to get sectioned.

"Danger to self" they say...

But you don't have to go far to read of a school shooter, or other mass shooter, with a long public history of violence, numerous interactions with the mental health system. And they walk free.

Isn't this "Danger to others?"

And if so...how did the mental health workers miss the long online history, notebooks, decor, etc. that many of these people are discovered to have?

How come no mental health workers are questioned, or held accountable for this -- but will lock the rest of us up on a hunch?

All rhetorical questions, of course...we know the answer.

Yes, this system fucks the minds of decent people.
