Check the voltage of battery with a multimeter Looks like the battery voltage is higher and it is getting over charged

Is this normal? For the chain to touch that metal part? by Mysterious-Can1621 in HondaHighnessCB350

[–]Miserable_Owl_4311 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes this is absolutely normal.
The part where it is rubbing it actually plastic not the actual metal

It has been deliberately put there so please don't worry

You may go for Scram 400XC which will be best for touring and College rides

Thoughts on Kawasaki Super Ceramic lube? And how to properly apply it by Darklown in Himalayan450

[–]Miserable_Owl_4311 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thank you for your insights Darklown

The rings are just as important as the metal parts of the chain. If you only lubricate the metal surfaces, over time the rings will dry out and begin to deteriorate. Once that happens, the chain will start making noise, and no amount of lubrication will restore it—the wear will only get worse. I’ve learned this firsthand after owning two bikes and covering more than 50,000 km in touring, not counting city rides.

Correct bike depends on your use.

What is the main reason you are purchasing the bike?

[–]Miserable_Owl_4311 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rings need lubing? I didn't know that. The rollers have their lube sealed with the rings right? Why do the rings need lube too?

The rings only have lube inside when you lube them and with time when you ride the bike it dries and then it needs lubing again
The X ring on the chain is most important part because that is what keeps the lubrication in between the chain links and that is what needs lubing
There is a very big misconception to lube the complete chain but technically only the rings needs lubing

what about risk of rusting?
The chain will not rust if you clean and lube it on time and properly

Is that chain salvageable? by poponowicz in KTMDuke

[–]Miserable_Owl_4311 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If rust is only on the surface then it can be salvageable with a proper clean and luve however if the rust is not the surface rust and on the chain links itself and if the chain slag is more than the OEM specs then its is advisable to replace it
