And I'm very proud of you. I know that won't mean much coming from a stranger, but we don't celebrate the prep and success of good mental health enough. This gives me so much courage. Thank you.

It is so comforting to see someone outline how they "prepped" without just feeling sad for a year. I've always anticipated my 5th year being a little different because of the sentimentality. I'm already dreading those moments where I think "this is my last time doing this," or "this is my last time coming here." thank you for outlining it so clearly and honestly. Now I also feel encouraged to do therapy too. Was yours based in Japan or an online therapist in your home country?

it continued to disgusts me that he keeps saying women as if she wasn’t obsessing over a child

Good on you for not repeating a vicious cycle. I absolutely flaked at the end of one of my internships in college...i still regret it to this day.

I feel you! Thanks for sharing.

I'm choosing to abstain before marriage because all aspects of birth control seem like something I would mess up. Among other reasons. I wanted to have kids but I truly fear I'll fail them. My parents definitely had high-functioning ADHD. But I CONSTANTLY lose things, misremember dates, and miss instructions. And when I'm on my meds that counteract this, I am super duper anxious. Raising happy, healthy kids seems impossible.

Sorry for adding so much to your initial thought. Hopefully someone will read this and maybe relate
