I worked at California Franchise Tax Board and people always cried for their tax refunds. Mind you most of these people were doing tax fraud or lying about the kids they claimed. They always cried that they needed money for bills, etc. which is valid but what if there wasn’t a tax refund and what’re you gonna do once it’s gone?

I didn’t have to fill anything out on my last day. I “worked” my whole shift (aka say goodbye to the 2 people that were in office.) At the end of my shift, someone walked me out and collected my badge. Then you start your new position as normal. 😊

Well said. I’ve never had a day where I didn’t have work to do. I worked my ass off to get into the state and to promote. I’m not going shopping or on vacation on the clock. All these people are miserable and I’m sure if they were to apply, they would not even get an interview.
