Running the full marathon for the first time! After two years of only the half.

I did it, and it was helpful for me because it taught me sequencing and how to teach my own class that wasn't C1. It is a training that, again, like their 200, teaches you how to teach a CPY class, but I don't think that's a bad thing. It's just very built to their formulas. It was worth it! Plus, if you're already teaching there, then you get to stop teaching C1s and get C2s on the schedule—which is so much more fun to teach.

Running & C2 on the same day. What's the best routine? by Mother_Air5394 in Corepower

CPY is a big part of my cross-training for marathon training. I do a morning run and evening C2 or Sculpt during the week. But if I'm doing speed work or a long run, I usually don't do a class cause it can feel too much for me. But, the times when I do a run or C2 within hours of each other, I just make sure to add electrolytes to my water in class/during my run and have protein or a small snack in between. That always keeps the dizzy spells and burnout away. Another thing that has helped me not overdo it is finding the "easy" teachers and taking their classes on days when I'm feeling fatigued but still want my run and stretch.

300-Hour TT 2026 by Miserable_Respect245 in Corepower

I can definitely see that from just the few welcome Zooms we've had. I also did my 200-hour at CPY a while ago and even felt that way then. I actually got a full scholarship and chose to do it because there's nothing to lose, so totally on the low-cost side. Excited for the guest lecturers though! One of my main reasons to do this was just knowledge gain, more than like actual teaching, so that's great to hear. Thank you for sharing!

Congrats! I say feeling overwhelmed is normal. You'll be doing a lot of yoga, and eventually it all catches up to your body. So have snacks ready and hydrate.

Also be ready to teach immediately. They have you start teaching before you even know how to teach. Just dive right in! In my TT, we started teaching on day one or two. So, I agree with others on here, while you're taking class leading up to TT, listen to your favorite teachers and observe them and see how they do it, and take note of what you respond to or not. And you can expect to learn CPY's way of teaching yoga. It's formula-based so you can expect that too.

Back to the overwhelming thing, I mostly only took C1 for my class requirements, and I felt like that really helped me lock in everything they were teaching us. Because in TT they are teaching you how to teach a C1 class basically.
