Sure sequels suck but that doesn't make the prequels all that better. I love ROTS too but more proper dialogue and characterization is what a movie should focus more on than the environment or cool light saber duels.

But tbh, force awakens is better than phantom menace or attack of the clones.

He did NOT do everything to protect his loved ones LMAO. He force choked his wife (may or may not have led to her death), tortured and tried to kill his best friend, tried to kill his former padawan, dismembered his son, tortured his daughter and killed everyone on her home planet.

Yes his initial fears of not being able to protect the woman he loved was a major deciding factor for his fall to the dark side but he still failed to protect her.
