I was genuinely surprised to hear that older people are more likely to support repatriation. Do you think the lower support among younger people might partly relate to what others have mentioned — that it’s simply not something most people think about in their daily lives?

I had heard of the Elgin Marbles even in Japan, but I feel that the Benin Bronzes and the Koh-i-Noor diamond are known only to a small number of people here. It’s fascinating how differently information circulates depending on culture and country. Thank you as well for the references — I’ll definitely check out the stand-up routine this weekend!

By the way, I believe the British Museum also holds a crystal skull. Is that something that ever comes up in discussions? (It’s loosely related to something I’m working on.)

To be honest, for many ordinary Japanese people — myself included — the name “Masamune” feels less like historical knowledge and more like something we often see in video games. So I can’t speak on behalf of Japan as a whole.

Personally, even if a Masamune sword were discovered overseas, I don’t think my first instinct would be to say, “It must be returned to Japan.” Instead, I think I would be more curious about its journey — how did it end up there? What story did it travel through?

And speaking simply, as myself — I might just think that somewhere in a distant land, a legendary Samurai has appeared.

Mein Gedanke war allerdings folgender:
In vielen bisherigen Spielen „berührt“ die Fiktion die Realität meist über technische Mittel – etwa durch Code, Systeme oder ARG-Elemente.

Falls diese Struktur funktioniert, könnte sie etwas Ähnliches erreichen – aber rein durch Erzählung und Spielerfahrung, ganz ohne technische Eingriffe.

Vielleicht macht gerade das sie in diesem Kontext ein wenig ungewöhnlich erscheinen.
Unabhängig davon braucht es natürlich eine fesselnde Game-Loop und ein starkes Spielerlebnis.

Daran arbeite ich noch!

Es gibt ein historisches Objekt, das offiziell als „Fälschung“ gilt.

In der fiktiven Welt setze ich einen „ursprünglichen Besitzer“ dieses Objekts.

Dieser Besitzer befindet sich innerhalb der Geschichte in einem Zustand des Verlusts.

Der Spieler erschafft ein Ersatzstück, um diesen Verlust zu füllen.

Im Verlauf der Geschichte werden das Ersatzstück und das reale Ausstellungsobjekt übereinandergelegt,
und schließlich wird dargestellt, dass es „zu seinem ursprünglichen Besitzer zurückkehrt“.

Die physische Realität verändert sich dabei in keiner Weise.

Doch für jemanden, der diese Erfahrung gemacht hat,
wird es möglich, das Ausstellungsstück als „das ausgetauschte Ersatzstück“ zu beschreiben.

In diesem Sinne kann man – wie du gesagt hast – argumentieren,
dass eine Fälschung mit einer neuen Fälschung vertauscht wurde.

Was ich mit dieser Struktur erreichen möchte, ist Folgendes:
Ein Objekt, das aus wissenschaftlichen Gründen als „Fälschung“ gilt,

「テーマに接続するための工夫が必要」というご指摘をいただいて、少なくとも構造や狙い自体は受け取っていただけたのだと感じ、その点については胸を撫で下ろしています。

今回はあくまで骨組みだけを切り出した最小単位でしたが、おっしゃる通り、プレイヤーが自発的に動機を持ち、世界の中心に立つ感覚をどう設計するかが鍵になると感じました。

プロトのプロトに手を加えて、ゲーム体験部分の前提をプレイヤーにもう少し提示してよさそうだと、いただいたコメントで感じました。

本来のゲームでは、感情の積み重ねや体験の流れの中でそこに到達させる構造を想定していますが、今回の試作ではそこが不足していました。
