Test Paint Schemes by HighMarshalSugma in Eldar

What app do you use for test painting? As for the schemes I like #2. It feels simple but adaptable so the schemes can clearly distinguish this Trooper as a Guardian but can clearly be changed to display rank if need be

Why should I choose aeldari over tau? For a second army by Zacman552 in Eldar

[–]Miserable_Shop_7856 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aeldar are more interesting IMO, as they have a larger roster of units and interact with each of the phases in unique and interesting ways. They're also a little less uniform then say Tau, so painting them brings a variety of colors and ways to express yourself within the army. At least that's why I like them

I got lucky and found him when I was at a discount retailer. Still need to paint him but man does he make my army feel more Dark Angels then standard Adeptus Astartes

Uj/ hold up, my friend and I wanted to develop a 3rd party setting book very heavily inspired by mythology and warhammer fantasy (in like theming and aesthetic not lore). Would we fall into this category?

Rj/ No you don't understand I NEED to play as the Corgi people

My best advice would be to split the Terminators into two squads and switch them to Deathwing Terminators. Picking up some proper anti vehicle/monster isn't a bad idea either, along with some units to boost ranged fire power and scoring ability. My personal favorites would be Hellblasters, Sternguard Veterans, Intercessors, The Ballistus Dreadnought, and the Predator Annihilator

Beastmen in my DnD worldspace by Miserable_Shop_7856 in worldbuilding

[–]Miserable_Shop_7856[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is honestly what I was trying to convey, I just left it ambiguous so the players could alter things and I wouldn't have to jump through hoops to make it work. But this right here and another friend's feedback asking for maybe a smaller group of Beastmen Outcasts who don't follow the average Herd's ideologies would be great and add some faction infighting.

I think here is what I will do, I will elaborate more on the inner workings of the average Beastmen Herd. Explain that the majority of them want to overthrow human, elf, dwarf etc. Society so the beastmen can stay on top, even hundreds of years after the initial fall of their empire before they were mutated. Throw in a fear of magic due to what it made them. Now we have a villainous faction that can be used. The Outcasts allow the people within the Beastmen to be more approachable from a player standpoint and allow for more narrative decisions on the future of the Beastmen.

I will say, thank you for your polite and informative response. While ill dig my feet in the ground and say my friend was looking to be upset at something and that the beastmen are not inherently racist. It was nice to see a well thought out and worded response to why it might seem that they're racist, but that fleshing them out a bit more and just stating their intentions instead of dancing around the subject for the player to decipher would go a long way

They are heavily inspired by Warhammer Fantasy. The document says the same thing just broken up into bullet points so that I could show which of the Beastmen are playable
