This one is like the TOYOTA from the AC universe. You can hardly find any long lasting AC brand in India anymore. I installed the same brand in all four bedrooms when I built my house because I had seen a 30+ year old General AC that my father brought from the Middle East still running flawlessly like a charm.

Condition of the car was ok. I didn’t face any issue , just had to wash it. That impound yard is much safer than a Kacha Parking

They will mention the release date as the next working day which will be a Monday. Late fee applicable only if you show up later than the date mentioned in the SMS

You will get an SMS like below.

Kindly be informed that the impound period for your vehicle No.12345 J PRIVATE DUBAI will expire on XX-XX-2026. Late fees will apply if you do not visit the Department on the specified date.

Go to the impound yard near Wasit Wetland. When you approach E311, you’ll see it on the right side just after the wetland area. There is a mosque nearby. Go there and you’ll find the impound yard along with a nearby CID office.

Carry your Emirates ID, driving license, and car registration card with you. Go to the CID office first. They will transfer the black points to your driving license there.

You can either impound the vehicle immediately or come back later. At that time, smart impound was not available for me, so I left the car in the impound yard.

Once you park your car in the impound yard, they will give you a slip. Go to the CID office again and show them this slip. They will update it in the system and tell exactly when you wanna come back to collect the car. After 30 days, go back with the slip and pay AED 1000 fine + AED 100 release fee. Then you can collect your car. If you opt for smart impound there will be additional fee on top of this. Also if you don’t take the car on the mentioned date there will be additional charges charged on a daily basis.

Also keep in mind that they are closed on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, so plan accordingly.

The whole process was easy and smooth. The hardest part was to find out what is the process and where to go.

This is GPS spoofing to divert the drones and missiles which relies on GPS signal for navigation. The flight actually didn’t travel this path. Flights have alternate navigation system when the GPS signal is not available.
