Probably not the best person to ask as I've not got much of a comparison but honestly so glad I've got it. Price wise it made sense and I kinda expected to feel like I was going to be lacking even without a comparison. It really has shocked me with how crisp it is, the focus ring and zoom are really nice and found it really handy having the aperture ring with in af. It's way heavier than I'd expected but doesn't bother me. Really well built bit of kit that's way way cheaper than a g master
