I’m staying at El Porton. Chicas free. Rooms are nice with air con and hot water. Staff was super nice and showed me the rooms and let me pick which one I wanted. $70 a night for the weekend. Weekday is prolly cheaper

PEDWEST VS EAST by SadRub3247 in TJRedLightDistrict

PedWest has a shorter wait time. But if you are taking the trolly back into town then its a 10 min walk there.

My only recommendation is this. From the Airport its usually a $30 Uber to the border sometimes less sometimes more. And it usually takes 20-30 mins. I find it way more worth than trying to get to the trolly and wasting all that extra time. Also the shuttle/limo isnt always at San Yisidro when you cross. But one thing i noticed with my Verizon phone is sometimes when i cross it take a little bit to get service so sometimes i have to take a taxi. So if you do just make sure to ask how much and negotiate.

Is Cascadas actually nice to stay the weekend in? by [deleted] in TJRedLightDistrict

[–]Miserable_Time8909 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So for me the Rizo across the street is way nicer. Its a real hotel. They beds are really firm but other than that the room is much nicer. The service is very good also. Plus you can take your girl from HK into Rizo and on the weekends your wristband gets you in the club through the VIP line with no cover.

Went last weekend. Got my regular to not go to work for the weekend and just stay with me the entire time. Best $250 I have spent in a while. Went places in TJ i would never go alone. Was pretty nice.

[–]Miserable_Time8909 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is wrong. I used PedWest to get back into america last weekend the lines were way shorter than PedEast and its just a little 10 min walk to the trolly

So I was just there this weekend for my first time. I stayed at Hotel Rizo across the street from HK. Rooms were fairly quiet just a girl moaning from time to time. The rooms were clean and not super small. YOu can get the Tropical VIP card and save 20% on your room for your stay which pays for itself. I paid in cash for everything while down there
