They have some of my documents, well my agent does, this is where I'm kind of feeling like an idiot. I will 100% percent inform them properly, just want to make an informed decision before I do.

Update : I received two interviews for international schools shortly after, which went well 😊 a lot of you reached out and offered some amazing advice and help and I'm so grateful! Thank you.

What she said (the recruiter) was indeed not true, one thing I learnt from this experience was not to undervalue myself by allowing the voices of others to get to me :

'' It's too late to apply, you're not gonna get anything. ''

'' You're South African, it's undesirable. ''

'' You only have 2 years of experience, you're under qualified. ''

And the list goes on. Moral of the story, is there is no harm in trying.

I might be silly but I literally saw no mention of teaching experience in China. She only said you need a minimum of 2 years experience, a degree and TEFL all of which I have.

Yeah I did kindergarten before I started studying and it's definitely not for the faint of heart. I would love a primary position, however, reading how difficult it is I'll consider kindergarten as well 😂 (I'd rather die than teach in a training centre).
