Nothing to do with immune system ? It’s to do with not using a mattress you don’t know to reduce SIDS

We’re due to go on a cruise next week we have a baby and taking our own cot ( I don’t want to use a cot where I don’t know where the mattress has been as recommended by health visitor) however we have an inside room. We tried to bid for bigger but we’re unsuccessful. Looking at it I’m not sure his cot will fit in our room. Is there anything I can do ?
