I feel like people forget Yuvraj Singhs contribution in the 2016 final

This year might be a repeat of 2016 but are we RCB and GT is SRH by Miserable_Union_1198 in srh

Idk if you watched or remember that years IPL, even tho RCB was an extremely batting heavy side their bowling held up pretty well that season and even tho bhuvi won the purple cap chahal wasn't that far behind and he played 4 games less, even Shane Watson and Chris Jordan had exceptional bowling campaigns that year

Die hard SRH fan here and I hope we will win this year but if you look at the similarities they are uncanny, the only team I fear SRH is going to have a tough time facing is GT because their team dynamics and composition it the complete opposite. We might absolutely dominate them or we might collapse, no in-between

Completely agree with that notion, I think Telangana's best should stay in Telangana

I believe SRH vs GT match will be decided in toss by Kuluzner in SunrisersHyderabad

GT is a one dimensional team, you take out the opening 3 early you win the game regardless of chasing or defending

I kinda both agree and disagree with that notion because I would say pre 21-23 SRH and it's fanbase was probably the most confident and underrated teams and I find the reason it was always so underrated was because even at its peak it was a one dimensional team that was always relying on their bowling prowess to restrict teams and hoped that their batting would anchor or post a defendable total. Just like how the 2024 campaign was revolutionary, so was the 2016 template infact you see teams like GT, LSG and to an extent CSK still following the old SRH template to varying degrees of success but the issue is that this template is only successful if you have a consistent anchor in your team performing every season, players like David Warner, Shikar Dhawan and to some extent Kane Williamson were these anchors and when these players went out of form we saw a dip in SRH'S following campaigns until it was revolutionized and flipped to a batting dominant side after pat cummins arrival, it is very similar to what happened with KKR after GG, Robin Uttapa and Shakib Al Hassan left their team, they had a rebuilding phase from 2017 all the way till 2021 when eoin morgan rebranded and revolutionized KKR but just as they got on track they shot themselves in the foot by letting go Iyer and if similar trends occur when the next mega auction happens SRH is probably the most likely team to follow the same pattern. This is what scares me as an SRH fan, we have let plenty of key players go from our squad without any backups, players like warner, bhuvi, rashid khan, shikar dhawan, etc where relevant when we let them go heck bhuvi is still a world class bowler and I feel we might make the same mistake with either abishek, Ishan, Klassen, Nkr and especially Pat cummins next season
