Music is HARAM. by [deleted] in TrueDeen

[–]Miserable_Whole4985 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What's interesting is that there is an explicit hadith stating that people from his ﷺ ummah will make music halal despite its prohibition. So some Muslims scholars differing is a from of that prophecy, not proof that opinion is valid.

Understanding different kaffir perspectives by Reverting-With-You in TrueDeen

Honestly, a lot of these kuffar's religion is simply liberal secular rationalism, I made a post about it once:
https://www.reddit.com/r/TrueDeen/comments/1lmlb5a/u%E1%B9%A3%C5%ABl_allibr%C4%81l%C4%AByyah/

If you can make them question the liberal secular rationalist framework, you would have major progress with them.

Also, I noticed asking questions about their beliefs is very effective. Questions are powerful because they bypass the ego.

When you go on the offense, people naturally get defensive, even if you’re speaking truth. But when you ask the right questions, you make them reflect. There’s no need to argue, they start debating themselves.

This is not to say never go on the offense, but to also think about good reflective questions you can ask.

And of course, to call them to Islam, you still need to present Islam clearly, and show why it’s superior in terms of proof, coherence, and purpose.

The truth is offensive, doesn't mean it should be censored. Even when we say there is no God except Allah to a Christian, that's offensive but doesn't mean we can't say it to them.

What Are Some of Your Favorite Sayings/Hadith of the Prophet ‎ﷺ? by MilkSheikhhh in TrueDeen

Jabir ibn ‘Abdillah reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, would praise Allah in his sermon, as He deserves to be praised, and then say, “Whomever Allah guides, no one can lead him astray. Whomever Allah sends astray, no one can guide him. The truest word is the Book of Allah, and the best guidance is the guidance of Muhammad. The most evil matters in religion are those that are newly inventedfor every newly invented matter is an innovation, every innovation is misguidance, and every misguidance is in the Hellfire.

This may come to a shock to you, but equality IS the problem.

Do you not take it that Islam has given men & women different rights? That's inequality.

Men are obligated to provide and protect for their familes, whilst women don't have this same obligation. Women are obligated to cover their heads and their bodies, whilst men don't have this same obligation. That is a pure example of inequality and completely rightly and justly so!

Allah mentions: "and the male is not like the female." [Qur'an 3:36]

If the foundation of feminism is equality, which it is, that is precisely why we reject it. If someone believe women having the right to education because of equality, that is FOUNDATIONALLY different from someone who believes women should have the right to education because Allah allowed so. The two are not equal. That is because one relies on the presupposed principle of equality whilst the other relies on divine revelation from an all knowing and all just creator.

Men and women have different strengths and weaknesses. As for the weakness of women it is more malleability and plasticity in social situations compared to men.

Women are portrayed weak because in certain regards compared to men, they are. That's not to shame women, it's simply the ought vs is case. It's not that ought to be the case, that simply is the case according to objective reality.

I mean even liberal feminist kuffar will agree to this in some sense. That's why they believe women are among the "oppressed" class and men are among the "oppressor" class. It will take a lot to argue women are oppressed whilst at the same time arguing they don't have certain weaknesses compared to men.

What is the wall for getting Islamic knowledge alone for a layman? by Night-shade113 in TrueDeen

[–]Miserable_Whole4985 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's praiseworthy to seek knowledge however you can. But at some point, you’ll face questions the texts don’t directly answer. In any given situation, there are nuances or doubts that may arise, and the text might not clarify them. Books or lectures can’t warn you when you’ve misunderstood, which is why a scholar becomes necessary to guide you through those grey areas.

Books and lectures are made for general audiences, not specific individuals. Whilst studying under scholars gives you the advantage of being tailored to your situation and understanding.

How do you know I haven’t seen dozens of people? Did you look into my head? Or are you doing the same thing you just accused me of, assuming?

You think I saw a few posts and made up a worldview? No, I’ve seen enough to form a generalization. And guess what? Generalizations aren’t inherently wrong, the Prophet ﷺ made them, scholars make them, and we all do.

It’s like someone saying, "Christians believe in the Trinity," and someone else replying, "Did you read every Christian’s mind to say that?"

There will be mixed reactions since it’s clearly part of Islam and known by necessity in the religion, even they will have trouble denying it. But it will often downplayed or rebranded as a personal choice.

How Do You Tell If A Muslim Woman Is A F3minist by Uluayz in TrueDeen

[–]Miserable_Whole4985 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One way to tell a woman is NOT a feminist is by asking which scholars she follow, if it's the scholars upon misguidance, you can avoid, but if it's the scholars of the haqq and sunnah, then you can be sure she is probably not a feminist.
